I don't understand, both teams have beaten 3 teams to the final, and both team have won 2 games. Why is it that it's a forgone conclusion Edmonton gonna win the cup let alone win it in 6?

Florida still has a chance though. But it went from a 90% chance if they had won tonight to around a 40% chance with Oilers having home ice advantage.
come on now, Panthers have an amazing road record and have been there before. Remember how hard it was for them to win that 4th game the first time around.

I mean obviously Bennett scoring there would have been ideal

That was a big choke. They gave the momentum away.

We have watched the Oilers more closely...Panthers were also down 2-0 in these playoffs

3-1 lead is better than 2-2 but game to game momentum doesn't exist. Panthers will probably just play harder, they were taking the game back over in the 3rd and OT especially already.

I honestly don't think the Panthers care how they lost, they are going to be saying win one game and have a chance to win the cup at home. Team of vets over there.

If Panthers had home ice I would say 60% Panthers. I just think home ice is huge for reffing. Especially when it's the diving Oilers.

I think it's a toss up at this point.

TBH both of these teams are built different in that they don't quite and never die. Two very talented teams that believe in themselves.

Whoever gets the better goaltending is going to win the cup from here on out, hopefully Bob can outplay Pickard.

My gut since the Kings blew it in round one is that Oilers feel a bit too lucky this year but you can't count out the Panthers ever.

It probably goes 7 again

Team of vets who couldn't find a way to win a home game where they were up 3-0.

Game to game momentum exists with LA because of their history of losing to the oilers.

Unlikely to be a thing with the Panthers.

They lost 8-1 last year with a chance to win the cup and blew a 3-0 series lead only to lock down a game 7 win

I don’t know how any of you are saying this is over for the oilers. This is no way over and I think Panthers have carried more of the play than the oilers.

It's not. Folks are overreacting again. I was likely one of those folks when Dallas started choking, but the panthers are a more resilient team. It's going to be a long series, but if anybody can do this it's FLA.

Game of inches tonight, though the collapse was irritating. FLA hit the post after it bounced off Pickard. Then team horsehoes comes back and gets an own goal.

Hopefully it's a kick in the pants for FLA- after rolling the oilers last game and then up 3-0 they probably got overconfident, and payed for it. They were inches away from winning in ovetime.

Anyways, they won't make that mistake again.

It's just too bad the next game is in sewerville, with all their troglodyte inbred fans ooh'ing and aah'ing at everything. I can't stand watching that crowd.

He'll turn into a pumpkin soon enough. Assuming he starts next game (maybe?), Panthers just need to scout him. Somebody was saying earlier his five-hole is weak.

Reminder that the Panthers are the only team to have won 2 games in a row against the other in this series. Pressure is still more on Edmonton especially given the goaltending controversy.

Florida has been in this situation before and have dealt with significant adversity knowing what it takes to win the cup. This is arguably Edmonton's toughest stretch in the playoffs in a year, discounting the LA series where they fell 2-0 behind but we knew that LA has that history with the Oilers of having a mental obstacle closing out their series against them.

Far from over. Key will be goaltending next game. Will Oilers go with Pickard? If they do and Florida can solve him, Florida will have the advantage despite any Oilers home ice advantage

Panthers are 9-3 on the road in this year’s playoffs. Edmonton having home ice isn’t the death knell some seem to think it is.

The cats know how to rebound from losses like this. They’ll be just fine.

I think it would be sweet when FLA beat them at home and see those fans in tears.

If the series goes 7 and the Oilers lose at home that would be a fun outcome too I suppose.

I'll be out of country till June 21 so glad I'm missing the rest of this either way
