"Oldest team in the league" - except McDavid, Draisaitl and Bouchard are still young. The older players will just get replaced.
"Goaltending" - they've already proven they don't need elite goaltending to get to back to back Cup Finals. They just need League Average goaltending.
"Cap Raises" - have been bailed out by the league increasing the cap from $88M to $113M over a couple of years. Don't pretend this doesn't alleviate this constraint.
I never argued this wasn't their best chance at winning the Cup. I just don't forsee a dramatic implosion happening all of a sudden next year and then onwards. As long as McDavid and Draisaitl are around, they will always be in the mix.
Paulie has already had multiple accounts (including at least one ban) so its not that far fetched. The exact same talking points and thanking all of each others posts is as the kids say, sus.
Anything is possible in hockey but on paper the Oilers, especially without Hyman are not a better team. I think the Canadian media is rubbing off on some posters. Panthers were already a favourite and added Marchand and Jones.
My favorite thing was watching you work day and night to discredit the Panthers success in reaching the finals and handwave it away as pretenders, while engaging in your favorite past time of bashing former Flames as soon as they are traded/leave.
Followed by doing a complete 180 when they faced the Oilers, lol.

I like tons of former Flames...Tanev is one of my favourite players in the league. I hate the guy who bailed, unless he is playing the Oilers. (this is not that complicated) Hopefully he shows up for this cup final unlike last year when he did #### all.
