It's true. BC and Saskatchewan are 0-2, Stamps is 1-1 while Eskimos who everybody picked to be last in the West won 2-0 so far. That tells you the season is still early. BC is struggling with their running game and their receivers are doing some dropsies. If this continues don't be surprise to see Jackson starting one day and Buono losing his job. I love it that the Riders are struggling so far. Darian Durant missed Andy Fantusz and Rob Bagg. Eskimos seems to be clicking but they will falter soon.
As for the Stamps, even though Burris still have Rambo, Bryant, Franklin and Lewis to throw to and Reynolds and Cornish to hand in the ball, we have to remember that the Offensive Line pretty much were revamped. Only Tim O'Neill pretty much played all season in the same positions. They have Cadogan and Bryant on the ends. Bryant played a few games last season while Cadogan was on practice roster. Steve Myddleton played a few games last season while J.Michael Deane is a rookie. So I guess blaming Burris for the inconsistencies of the offense is not fair. You put Calvillo on that line and I am sure he will struggle a bit as well. We have some speedsters in Romby Bryant, John Forzani and Rambo. Nik Lewis is still a dependable receivers while Parker is an up and coming receiver. Larry Taylor and Landan Talley are also an explosive receiver with speed. Too early to judge Burris and company. Defense is still gelling. They too lost a few impact players namely Browner and Anderson on DB, Tom Johnson on DLine while LB lost Malik Jackson in the first game.
