Horrible win, but it's still a win.

Woo hoo. Maybe the worst game of the Hufnagel era but given the injuries we'll take it.

We win, barely. Stamps did everything in their power to choke the game away. A win is a win, but the Stampeders are a mess.

I'm very disappointed. Montreal is a veteran team and they always come out strong and never miss a beat every year. The Stampeders are also a veteran team as well but at times looks like they aren't on the same page and Chris Jone's defense is so hit and miss. Most frustrating team in the league by far as they should be just as consistent as the Als but every year it's like Reynolds, Burris and the receivers have never played together before at the beginning of the season.

Anthony Calvillo is going to become the all time leading passer in pro football, we have Henry "I might have a good game" Burris.

Even with Frank at times taking snaps Burris will still go down as one of the all-time best QB's in the CFL as his statistics and accomplishments can't be denied. However I wonder how good the offense could be with a guy that's more consistent. The Stampeders really have so much playmakers on offense they just need the QB to get them the ball as we saw with the Cornish and Lewis TD's. I really think it's a matter of time (essentially when Tate gets healthy) before this team starts going to a 2 QB rotation with the hot QB getting the ball as at this stage of Henry's career he simply isn't going to get consistent.

And I thought it was hard to be a Flames fan sometimes. You'd think after decades of watching the Stamps I wouldn't get so frustrated.
I choose only to remember that we won. Oh, and Nik Lewis: I love that guy!

After watching the game again this morning. The o-line really struggled when Henry just did his straight 3 to 5 step drop back and throw. They were much better in the 2nd half when Dickenson had Burris move around much, much more. I'd like to see that continue especially until Tsoumpas and Harrison come back.
The 2ndary has some issues but it is mainly because of the system they play. Jones likes that up, in your face type of defense. It can be very effective but the downside is, they are more likely to give up those big plays. Tisdale seems to be a solid addition and I like what Fassitt has brought so far. Brandon Smith is decent but seems to take penalties. I really like Raymond but I think he is a real hit or miss type of DB. Collins is alright as long as he doesn't have to move to the corner, as exposed by the Lions last night.
I actually think the secondary will be alright as long as the d-line can get pressure, they really miss Mace but even more than Mace, they miss Johnson.
Its still early, they could be 2-0 but they could also be 0-2 right now so I'm happy with the 1-1 start.

It is hard to call a lot of posters here fans. Sounds more like they are critics.
Did you enjoy the game at all? I thought it was a great game. The lows of the first half and then the highs of the second half was so cool.

Yeah people need to relax. I mean if Reynolds didn't fumble it would have been a boring last 50 seconds. Instead we got another 5 minutes of nail biting excitement.
Plus it's the CFL, it's going to be unpredictable at the end. So considering all the injuries and turnovers we had, its pretty awesome to see the W at the end.

Taylor is a lot of fun to watch. His speed is impressive and he's very elusive on the field when he's trying to avoid tackles. I'm looking forward to seeing him the rest of the season. I think he can be a game-breaker.

Fans aren't allowed to be critical of the team they follow? We should be satisfied with a win regardless of how the team gets there? This team is so Jekyll and Hyde that it's frustrating at times to watch. I love the Stamps but I'd love some more consistency in their games.
