Chill out. Have some fun. No reason to get worked up.

We need more guys playing like gio, hamonic, and tkachuk. At least hathaway brings some emotion to the game. Majority of flames last game looked "uninterested"

I didn't know you had to hit and play emotional to be a good leader. Jonathan Toews says hi.

Hamonic already answered the bell, time to move on.
I don't know what you were watching but Gudbranson's hit on Dube was early and predatory. His late uppercut on Hamonic was also quite viscious and I hope he has to answer to someone his own size. My pick would be Peluso but I guess Prout is going to be the guy.

P.S. I don't care what Gudbranson's history is.

He has also led his team to multiple cups. Brutal argument

I don't think Steve Yzerman has ever had an emotion in his life and most people would consider him a great leader.

It is not a brutal argument. A brutal argument is insisting that Monahan's muted emotional display and low incidence of on-ice hitting shows that he is a poor leader.

The guy has been wearing a letter since he was 21-years-old. He was the team's top centreman and leading goal scorer all with a messed up wrist that prevented him from closing his hand. It continues to frustrate how little respect he garners from members of this fanbase. Positively mystifying.

There should be a fight. Not for retribution but to make the Canucks uncomfortable in our barn.

Beating the hell out of them on the scoreboard will make them plenty uncomfortable.

Prout is really well spoken and comes off great. I can see him being a great #7 to have around the team all year.

It's the Saddledome. Lack of comfort is a given.

I have seen a few references now to how much the fans and his teammates liked him in NJ.

Toews is so competitive they have guys on the roster to keep him from loeing control of his emotions.

I dont agree about Monahan but emotion is a key factor in leadership in sport.

Spoke with Hamonic yesterday on his fight as a result of the hit on Dube.

Say what you want, that’s a teammate.

Love Monahan as a player. Really have no idea what his leadership skills are and I could say this about 99% of NHL players.

Saw an interview with Gudbranson about trying to pull up, knowing it was a bad hit, apologizing for it and then saying he feels bad Hamonic is hurt and he applauds him standing up for a teammate.

That’s a load of BS right there. Does this guy not know he plays for the Canucks? Burrows, Kessler, Bieksa, Torres, Jovo, Bertuzzi, Cooke and other assorted pieces of human garbage Vancouver Canucks. That type of response is not in line with the values of their organization. They have a certain culture they encourage and he’s not helping. The Sedins legacy of leadership sure faded fast if players like Gudbranson can say things like that without fear of being bitten or having his hair pulled behind closed doors. Who is this team and what have they done with the trashiest organization on hockey that I’ve been watching for the last two decades?

Prout and Gudbranson exchange a couple words during warmups and that's it, but Sam Bennett should fight whoever that idiot challenging him in Game 1 was.

I just like seeing Sam Bennett get into a fight.

Pouliot. Bennett would destroy him.

This is his only NHL fight.
