So take it to the Stand Along Home v Condo living mega thread.

I have lived in both, and for my money a stand alone home is the best option.

That's like someone living in bearspaw saying they think you are crazy for living in a cramped city lot with another house 6 inches from your own. Everyone is going to have their own priorities.

We are extremely spoiled in Canada that our population density is so low and we can all afford to buy giant SFHs. Most large urban centres or countries with high population density are far more accustomed to dealing with horrible realities like sharing a wall with a neighbor or having to cooporate with fellow homeowners to make mutually beneficial housing decisions.

It's almost like this board is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada or something.

Weird.

The fact that while everyone has their own priorities, the availability and cost of single family homes here is going to influence those priorities and weighs on what the better option is.

I'm just guessing, though. I live in an apartment.

No I totally agree and that's what my original post said. It just makes his sarcastic response all the more confusing, since he's agreeing with me. But in a weird condescending way.

So Truman has been eerily quiet today. Never got a reply to my email about them honoring the ANHW despite the permit issue which was a pretty good out for them and the hinted media involvement too. I'm really having a hard time understanding their logic here. It really seems like they're going to try and ride this out. I'm going to make sure that this gets directly to every prospective customer they have.

I wonder if they're feeling pressure from other builders to take this on the chin so that they can all keep this one year warranty thing rock solid.

They need to realize that it's 2016 and they can't hide behind company policy anymore. Anyone with an internet connection can make enough noise to bring attention to any issue.

Business in 2016 101.

Because it was weird and condescending that you need to tell someone on calgarypuck that their opinion is "Canadian" and that other urban centres are more accustomed to higher density living.

I mean... obviously. How is it relevant to Psycnet's post?

Also wondering this. Maybe it's on hold because he can't get the documents. What was the big news supposed to be? EDIT: Oh.
