I keep getting the error message "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3200)." It's happening when I try to update through a few different methods.
Anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

Such a pain trying to figure out the status of jailbreaks/unlocks for iOS5, so much misinformation out there.
Looks like Ultrasn0w unlock will continue to work for ios5 (only basebands that are currently unlockable), but I'm not sure how to upgrade to ios5 while preserving my baseband and the unlock. This is on the wife's new bootrom 3GS running 4.2.1 and BB 05.13.94.
My iPhone4 is a whole other bag of worms

I have a theory, my iPhone still thinks that it's main computer to sync to is my old one that crashed. Going to try to fix that, and see if it solves the problem.

No such luck. Odd! So everyone who does the update, beware that you'll probably lose some messages. Make note of important stuff if needed.

This is extremely frustrating. I've seen some posts that say that updating manually from a file downloaded to your desktop (or wherever you save things) might work. Does anyone have a link to a final release of the iPhone software?

After 2.5 hours to download, backup, sync, resync and get iCloud on my Mac, it's all working. No glitches for me just a long time waiting for things to sync and install. Now I just need to get it customized.

Loving the OTA bookmark sync.
XCode SDK for iOS 5 has been added to the free XCode now too, for anyone enjoying the multitasking gestures on their iPad 1.

I can't figure out how to send iMessages. All I see are text options. I have iMessage enabled from the 'Messages' area

iMessages send automatically to other iOS devices that are registered (phone number or email).

Blue "send" button means you're sending to iMessage. Green button is regular text message.

I am using
http://osxdaily.com/2011/10/12/ios-5...oad-available/
Right now seems to be working so far but it's not finished yet. Although it is a full restore not just and update.
