you just used it dude.
Who would have thought Bouwmeester would be outplaying Giordano by miles?? Not me!
even the tying goal by jackets wasn't entirely his fault. It was a terrible pass by Hudler that put him in a really bad situation.

I have to admit it takes guts to start a "Kipper is Killing Us !" thread and still be brave enough to show your face on here after that.

Giordano has been awful this year and a good part of last season as well. He needs to get it together.

As stated...and as it has been through ANY point in NHL history....you have a finite # of points you can accrue. If you go over half that #, you are over .500...if you are under that # you are under .500...and if you are at that #...you are a .500 hockey team.
No basement blogger is changing that because he "thinks" otherwise.

I can already count like 5 times this year where he has just skated right back into the goalie and created the perfect screen causing a goal. Pretty brutal, andninhave a Giordano jersey.

Good to see the boys win. They can score in bunches, no doubt, but they need to learn as a group not to give up back-breakers at the worst possible times and control the pace a bit more. Very Keenan-esque, for better or for worse. But one thing's for sure, I'll take it over the Brent Sutter coma-inducers.
Hoping for Backs, Cammy and Kipper to return soon. In the mean time I hope Horak shows that he belongs in the NHL. With any luck he'll stick and Comeau will finally be waived.

The fact that it alludes to baseball and basketball is also ######ed. They only have 2 columns in the standings, wins & losses. There aren't any "extra points" up for grabs anyway.

In the league stats, “3-pt Game Pctg.” is the percentage of NHL games which go to overtime or a shootout, resulting in a 3-point game. “True .500” is the average record (by percentage) of NHL teams. In sports leagues that don’t have a 3-point game, .500 is always average (and thus, being “above .500” in those leagues means “above average”). To be above average in the NHL, a team’s record must be better than the “True .500” listed here.

I like Rob Kerr this year - he had two fun instances the last two game. Fun to see. I seem to enjoy his game calling a lot more this year - might have to do with this new up-tempo hockey too. Hope he continues to get better!
Good to see a win and a nice game winning call.

And '.500 hockey' puts you precisely out of the playoffs in any given year since the lockout. Usually around 11th or 12th in your conference.
But whatever you want to say to make yourself feel better about the Flames season. It helps when your dress it up all pretty and stuff.

What about Glencross' blind backhander off the post. That would have been the TSN HON - "highlight of the night ".

Biggest difference I see is the PK/PP. Keenan's PP was 21st overall, but his PK was 4th in 2008-2009. Hartley's PP is currently 6th overall, but the PK is at 28th overall, or non-existant. 5 on 5 looks very similar.

Brodie and Wideman have been a great duo the last few games. Really happy with TJ even with the few little mistakes he's made, he will learn a ton from Wides on how to distribute and move the puck. Great to see!
