I bought it to play games (I know shocking) Movies and TV are just as good on an older console I would rather put hours on it for those tasks since its not nearly as valuable not to mention the new consoles don't play 3D bluray at all (did you even read my post?)

Microsoft is set to reveal DirectX 12, which is supposedly using some AMD Mantle-like infrastructure.

Starting at select retailers next week in the U.S., a digital copy of Forza Motorsport 5 will be included with purchases of Xbox One for the retail price of $499.99 for a limited time.
Strange metric though, reminds me of the Microsoft "Xbox * " press release. Not sure people embraced the Forza 5 paywalls though.
Forza Motorsport 5 has been embraced by Xbox One fans worldwide, becoming the best-selling racing game by console attach over the past decade.

Trailer released for Watchdogs showing the release date.
Right now people are crapping their pants about the graphics in the trailer and canceling preorders right away.
People sometimes...

Again, the curse of the cross-gen game.
Glad developers are getting over this and starting to make games next-gen only (Batman).

Not the point I was making. I've never thought of a console as something I should consider how many 'hours' I'm putting on it. That was my point.

Sales of Microsoft’s (MSFT) new game console, the Xbox One, started strong with some 3 million sold around the world from its Nov. 22 launch to the new year. Since then, though, the consoles have piled up on store shelves. Researcher NPD Group estimates that Sony’s (SNE) PlayStation 4, introduced on Nov. 15, outsold the Xbox One in January by at least a 2-to-1 margin in the U.S. And on March 4, Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 has sold 6 million systems and 13.7 million games, including 2.1 million copies of Killzone: Shadow Fall, an exclusive to the PlayStation. Console makers that log big monthly sales typically report them; Microsoft hasn’t so far in 2014.
Now that hard-core fans already have their consoles, “Sony’s going to beat them if Microsoft doesn’t cut price,” Pachter says. Sony spokesman Dan Race declined to talk about the competition.
A lower-resolution version of Titanfall will be available for the older-model Xbox 360 and Windows PCs by the end of March, perhaps limiting the game’s ability to sell Xbox Ones. Above all, the cost of the Xbox One remains a problem, Pachter says. “The competition this week is, let’s have exclusive content,” he says. “Next week the competition will be, how do we compete on price?”
For what it is worth, PS4 consoles are outselling Titanfall on the Amazon top selling list for March right now (6th versus 7th). EDIT: #1 (wow) and #5 respectively now.
It'll be interesting to see how sales look and if they keep cutting the price of the Xbone even further.

I can't say I'm going to preorder it now. The game looks pretty sub-standard for something this late in the game. If anything, it looks like a game from 4 or 5 years ago.

I'm just hoping the PC version is still the same as the E3 '12 demo since the game was initially built on the PC well before Ubisoft had any PS4/XB1 dev kits. That E3'12 demo was running on a high end PC which it seems is still more powerful than a PS4/XB1. Far Cry 3 on the PC looked much better than it's console counterparts so I'm hoping the same for Watch Dogs.

This is Ubisoft we are talking about. Didn't they screw up the last assassins creed release?

I could be wrong, but I think most people have enjoyed the latest Assassin's Creed in comparison to the previous titles.
This on the other hand seems pretty brutal. Bullshots are one thing (they happen all the time in the gaming industry) but this is so close to launch and it was video. I can't recall something this bad in quite some time.

The latest was the first AC game I ever finished as I quit 1 & 2 (didn't even bother with 3) before even getting halfway into those games.

Reviews coming in very good for Titanfall as most expected.
Gametrailers 9.3/10
Joystiq 4.5/5
Gamespot 9/10
Giantbomb with no review score yet but they like to take their time with it to get a proper take on things. Looks like they didn't get the visual issues sorted out for launch on Xbone but I really the PC is much better.
http://www.giantbomb.com/reviews/thi...-yet/1900-630/
The frame rate in Titanfall is uneven on the Xbox One and though it's usually fine, it can get downright nasty in specific situations. In one Last Titan Standing match--where every player spawns in a robot suit--several players crammed their mechs into a tight area and began duking it out, and the frame rate dived down to what must have been single digits per second. Even out in wider areas, the game feels a little hitchy from time to time, and there's noticeable tearing throughout. The visuals in Titanfall look nice, but that's mostly due to some solid art and interesting design, not the performance. As of this writing, I haven't seen enough of the PC version to know how well it runs.
I'll say it again, since we should probably wrap this up: Titanfall is a very specific game built for a specific type of person. When you add it all up, the list of available content and the various options for speccing out your pilot feel light, and that might make this game a little hard to swallow at $60. But getting into these wild situations and shooting your way out of them feels fresh and fun in a way that the other shooters on the market don't. If you like the basic form but need more of a twist on how you move and how you shoot, Titanfall's core action is extremely satisfying, which makes it a little easier to overlook the lack of available modes.
