Just looked like he blew a tire. There's gotta be a lot of pressure to play with Gio, and it's going to take time for him to condition himself to be as fast with positioning. He'll be alright.
I actually think TJ needs to be with Stone. Stone is struggling. Rasmus and Stone would not be quick/controlled enough together IMO.

Unless Janko turns this around in a hurry, we need a center Asap. In my eyes he has regressed badly. Early yet in the season I know but he looks slower, indecisive and just overall a bag of shenanigans. Janko, why U do dis?

Jankowski is just...there. That's a spot we can definitely improve on. Bring in someone with some pace to their game. Speed, energy, aggression...

As it stands. The flames’ right side of the defence has a guy who really struggles to control the puck, pace, and breakouts on every pairing. Not a recipe for success

IMO this is a very weak argument.
The Flames had quite a few more points than Vegas at the time.
His own brother played on the team, and it's close to his hometown. They have other Calgary family connections as well. Plus, there both wholesome family men.
He would get to play with Gaudreau and Monahan, which is arguably more exciting that his line-mates on Vegas. The difference from taxes is almost negligible, may 1% or so difference.
Plus, the Flames were interested, and they did bite. I doubt that the Flames would have gotten far in trade talks in it was obvious Stone, for whatever reason, didn't want to be in Calgary.
Basically, Vegas wanted Valimaki, and that's where it fell apart.
Stone ended up signing for what I think is a reasonable cap hit, considering he's probably a top 3 RW in the league.

I might get flack for this, but Jankowski doesn't look as terrible as the other games.
I notice the kids glides WAY too much. Move your feet and keep moving them.
He's come into the season with zero motor. I feel like he feels that he's been demoted to the 4th line forever, just a pk guy, and moping instead of pushing his case for a bigger role on the team.

Just think of the difference Kadri could have made....he was the perfect fit for what was needed and at a really good price too.

Janko is definitely struggling so far to start the season.
Dube's speed and offensive creativity seems like it'd be an upgrade... especially while Jankowski is struggling on the PK, which should be his speciality.
