I'm rather curious to see how BLM reacts. I can't imagine it wants to be associated with terrorism.

If only the protesters were carrying guns, this would never have happened.

Man, read his entire Twitter stream for the last day.

This guy is completely off his rocker.

I don't know where it is. I didn't even know we knew the shooters' identities.

This is the best that the gun control crowd can do now. Shows how weak the arguement is when you have to resort to this.

If only the police officers who were the victims of this tragic shooting were allowed to arm themsel-wait.

I guess this answers my earlier question.

Quote:
The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter. He said he was upset about the recent police shootings,” Brown said during a press conference Friday morning. “The suspected said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers. The suspect stated that we will eventually find the IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices).

No it doesn't. It shows how stupid pro gun people are to actually believe that nonsense. The answer to gun violence is never more guns, but that idea doesn't penetrate extremely thick skulls. Maybe we need to start writing it on a .223 caliber bullet since apparently those go through army helmets at 500 yards.

No, it shows how weak the NRA hero crowd's argument is. All we ever hear from them is how "an armed society is a polite society", and how it takes a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun.

Both of those arguments are shown to be wrong in about 999 of 1000 incidents, and that the only real solution is to move away from the gun fondling culture.

I am thinking he wasn't being serious.

On that note, on cbc they asked a question about this as some people were carrying at the rally. When shots started they fled or in the case of that first person of interest, gave the firearm to police. I think it shows civilians aren't trained and even if they have guns the first instinct is to run.

Now we just have to wait to find out the shooter's skin color to see if this is an act of terrorism or just some crazy guy.

Religion determines that, not skin color.

I don't know for sure but when the Dallas Police Department were trying to negotiate with him, he said he wanted to kill white officers.

I think the best we can do now is when an NRA gun hugger dies, cut open their brain to see if there is something wrong with them. There have to be some misfiring neurons, damaged or undeveloped areas of the brain to not get it at this point. It is probably more pathological than political.

If he/she is black, it will be called terrorism regardless of religion.

How would this not be terrorism? I can't think of a single outcome of identity that changes the fact that this was terrorism

Actually, politics determines that, not religion or skin colour.

Have you not followed mass shootings in the US?

Ya, I'd agree with this. Those arguments about all civilians packing heat just won't work for this reason. Fleeing is the first response, cornered and scared then I can see them fighting back.

They have got to do something in the near future, ban all sales of semi automatics and hand guns with more than 5 in a clip? Something like that.
