I have spent a lot of the past five years in Idaho. I encountered a couple of people carrying guns and it shook me. I have many good friends there. The changes we think should happen likely won't based on my experience. People tend to have a general concern about their safety. Gun control was a topic I debated many times and no longer talk about with my USA friends due to frustration.

And another. I understand this perspective (aside from threatening the president, probably unwise), but the only problem is the shooters haven't yet been identified so... if it turns out to be a white guy then... oops? Not to mention the aforementioned mutual respect between BLM and DPD.
Let's not go on a fear mongering kick. The US is significantly safer than the vast majority of your travel options.
I'm there constantly, never once felt unsafe. This doesn't change that. This is sad and horrible, but don't live your life in fear.
I appreciate the sentiment, and I say this as someone who spends more time in the US than the vast majority of Canadians, but statistically you are safer to travel to third world countries like India than go to the States.

Just googled him. He is a former congressman, turned into a radio talk show host. Got kicked off his own show for using racial slurs. Get the sense these tweets are part of his radio persona
