Game3 vs Vegas W 3-2 Sv% 0.905
Game5 vs Hurricanes W 3-2 Sv% 0.926
Game6 vs Penguins W 4-1 Sv% 0.970 (Probably the only 60min he's been great and as good as he is expected to be)
Game14 vs Jets W 3-2 Sv% 0.913
Game18 vs Flyeers W 5-2 Sv% 0.920

It’s really too bad they had to dump Monahan instead of Lucic

Pretty good period by the flames.
Markstrom with the typical early game freebie.

Those games would have fallen under the good category for me (except Pittsburgh). Beating Philly this year is like beating an AHL team, that's not a great litmus test. Carolina he made 25/27 saves, 0.926 sv% (a good game), the Pittsburgh game he was actually lights out (.970 sv%).
You shouldn't have to dig into scores and replays of a 6 million dollar goalie to figure out if he's been good with 1/4 of the season gone. He needs to be better.

At least Francis called Markstrom out. Someone has to, eventually.

It's fun to crap all over Eric Francis, but nothing he said during the intermission was wrong or controversial. First time in a long time that he had a chance to take a serious run at a player and he didn't. He relied on the numbers and spoke the truth. Shocking, I know.

I dug nothing. He was good in those games.

Okay, I guess I should have said the Flames gotta score on breakaways. Lot of games this year it has been tough for them to score, need to cash in on the glorious chances.
