Flames play 2 more periods like that, they will win by 2 or 3.

Still waiting to see those world class passes from Huberdeau. Has not been as advertised to say the least.

Good period by the Flames, even after Markstrom spotted the Canadiens a freebee. Bounced back well, had some really good chances and just couldn't beat Allen.

Was that the first stretch pass from a d-man this season?

Sure felt like it

Flames 65% xGF and don’t give up a high danger chance but are down 1-0 because Jacob Markstrom was drunk.

Amazing what finally healing long time nagging injuries will do eh. We had to give up right before he healed and now we're seeing him more like his old self.

So Iam not sure if it’s because it’s Montreal but I feel that there is more cohesion with the team this game. It feels like they are slowly learning where each other are going to be.

I'm pretty sure that 6th shot from Dadonov was about a foot wide, so really they held the Canadiens to 5 shots and zero high danger chances.

Can't complain about the team play.

Flames played well. 10 seconds into the game Markstrom is sliding out to the blue line with his stick in the corner? What was the plan there?

Flames are the far better team so far, but a major mistake has them behind.

Keep playing this way and they'll find their path to a win.

Andersson was also lost on that play... skating into the net instead of covering Slafkovsky...
