Ya. Assuming that bad news is layoff/dismissal, Friday. Also helps because Saturday is a day off anyways. If it’s a Monday the shock to the system is worse on Tuesday because they’re used to going to work. It’s not much but doing it on a Friday gives 2 days to work thru it mentally.

I have never seen anything other than tuesday except for one offs.

My wife bought a container of this seasoning at Costco (of all places). We’ve had it for at least a year and it’s never been used. What in the world are you going to use it for? There is nothing I eat where I think that flavour needs to be added.

I mean what are they gonna do? Bus stops and passenger unloading is on the right side.

For a little while the city had a transit priority signal in the right hand lane for them, then they could jump the light but with the construction at suncor energy the area is a mess again.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to sprinkle it over avocado toast. I don't know of any other usage for it. Over scrambled eggs to make it sorta taste like a breakfast scramble, maybe?

Ah #### it's been a while since I recall everyone trying to treat Montreal steak spice like Frank's and put that #### on everything.

Everything but the bagel spice from Trader Joe's is pretty good on an avocado toast. The Trader Joe's logo is brutal. The logo makes me think it's basically "everything but the #######" (EDIT: A - Hole. Damn swear filter) on anything else. It doesn't taste good otherwise.

Stupid YYC airport lounges and their 11am booze policy is stupid. Pretty much every other airport lounge I've been to has alcohol at all times. I need to get liquored up if I have to spend hours on a plane with my family. Should have had a couple shower beers.

That’s the one I get and it’s pretty good. Avocados (with or without toast), eggs, popcorn, roasted veg.

Kind of funny when people reject specific spice blends because of their name when they’re primarily what you put on a whole bunch of things anyway.

We picked up some of the TJ elote spice. That is pretty good.

I don’t remember a Montreal Steak spice fad, but we had one of those big ass McCormicks containers of it but used it basically once before learning that less is more for steaks.

I think it's the poppy seeds that somehow doesn't lend well to many other things for me. I somehow didn't even enjoy adding it on a cream cheese bagel. But it is really good with avocado.

The base blend without poppy seeds I agree is fine and excellent on most other things. I do appreciate the depth the coarse and flake salt can add vs other finer salts.

That’s got to be new. I’ve been half in the bag leaving that lounge pretty early before. I don’t want to disclose the time or anything here, lest anyone think a lot less of me, but it was definitely before 11am.

Yeah, I don't remember when they started it but it sucks especially because we usually try to get in the 9 to 10am flights. My favorite lounges are in Atlanta although the folks at the Centurion Lounge in Houston make some excellent cocktails.
