Bugonia was a hell of a ride.

I need to catch up on Yorgos Lanthimos' filmography. Poor Things was outstanding, too.

The Lobster was good. I haven't seen Bugonia yet. Poor Thing was definitely oustanding.

It sounds like the Korean version is quite wild as well. I recall somebody saying it is on Tubi, so might be a good watch.

Watching a bit of Goldeneye. At the part when Onatopp and Mishkin go to the Russian base and steal goldeneye. They’ve murdered all the workers at the base.

They hear a noise and he sends Onatopp to investigate. The lady programmer has hidden in the ceiling vent. Onatopp enters what appears to be the break room and examines coffee on the ground and it’s still warm. This prompts her to believe someone has hidden in the vents…because why exactly?

Didn’t they just storm the base like 5 mins ago and murder anyone? Did she really think that after they murdered everyone, one of the employees was just chilling in the break room pouring a fresh cup of Joe? Like hey this is pretty terrible and all my coworkers have been murdered but I seriously can’t function without a hot cup of black coffee? Isn’t it more likely one of the people they just murdered dropped it when they started all the murdering?

Anyways. Can’t wait for project Hail Mary. Sounds like another home run for an Andy Weir adaptation.

I lock the door, get seated, and start the film and then proceed to watch until the final credit has rolled (actually can’t watch films on Netflix because the “up next” feature takes away from the experience the director and film designers have crafted for me).

It’s also disgusting to me that people “throw on” music while they’re driving, or working, or exercising. How could anyone appreciate being fully entertained and enveloped in a musical experience if they’re distracted by these worldly vices? Unimaginable.
Is it weird that this is actually pretty close to my normal routine when I watch movies?

Except for the drugs part. 4 mg of THC perfectly alters my state to a sufficient level to have a deeper appreciation for the film I’m about to experience.

I keep a 2L bottle next to the couch to urinate in so I don't have to pause the movie for bathroom breaks.

You just have to mush the tip in enough so that the pee hole is sealed.

Careful with that seal. You could end up pulling your whole urethra inside out.

Depending on the movie, you might change your mind.

Anyways speaking of movie experiences, I think it should be illegal to change the aspect ratio of a film. Watching Spartacus. Looks a bit odd. It’s been cropped to 1.78:1 from its original 2.20:1. Why? Why the #### would you butcher a classic? While we’re at it let’s pan and scan Lawrence of Arabia.

Whoever did this should be forced to have their urethra pulled inside out using a 2L bottle.

I will say that was one of the coolest things I noticed watching Sinners. When the real action is about to start, the director subtly changes the aspect ratio of his own shot in real time. It gives energy to the action about to take place. Couple that with some of the most beautiful wide landscape shots that I've ever seen in film, it really had a lot going for it visually.

It was so much better in the theatre. It is getting crapped on a bit:

- By people who hate black people

I am not a huge blues fan or hip hop guy or irish music guy. But now I am. Michael B jordon got the Oscar but Miles Caton and Jack O'Connell were the stars.

Yes the plot was a little lame but it unveiled some rockstars. I thought Catons singing was dubbed. Nope, that's him. He was a child prodigy.

Just seeing talent like that unveiled to just you is unreal.

Pro Tip: Laundry detergent bottle. Cut the spout out. Much bigger opening.

The Sinners Soundtrack has been a regular occurrence on my Spotify.
