The Tigers are not as dynamic offensively as they were last season, but I think they play a better overall team game this season. WillieD and his scouting staff have done a fine job restocking the cupboards. Can they get back to the WHL Championship final? It's not going to be easy, but I think they have a good chance.

Actually, last season the Tigers led the WHL with 300 goals in 68 games (4.41 goals per game)
This season the Tigers once again lead the WHL in scoring with 287 goals in 59 games (4.86 goals per game), so despite losing McKenna, Ritchie, St.Martin, Weisblatt, Basha for most of the season, etc...they've actually improved their offense.
It's insane the job Willie and his staff have done.
They've even improved their point percentage, last year they were 1st in the East and 2nd overall with a 0.721 win%. This year they are 2nd in the East and 3rd overall with a much higher 0.780 win %.
0.780 last season would have gotten them 1st overall.

Red Deer knocks off PA 4-3 in regulation meaning that the Tigers are only two points behind PA for top seed in the East.

3 goals in the last 8 minutes for the Rebels to pull that upset off too.

Bryce Pickford has a hat trick with a period to play in Brandon. Now sitting at 41 goals on the season.

The Tigers now have the same amount of points as they finished with last season, still 6 games to play. I thought they'd be good, I didn't think they'd be this good.
They also already have 12 more goals this season than last season.
After they play the OKs tonight, their last 5 games are against Regina, Lethbridge, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Red Deer.
PA plays Red Deer tonight and then Edmonton, Moose Jaw, Regina, Regina, Saskatoon, Saskatoon.
Looks like it's going to come right down to the wire. PA seems to have a tougher schedule though.

Tigers tonight look like a team that's playing their 4th game in 5 nights. Considerable travel in those five days as well.

Yeah thats such an asinine schedule.
Drive to Regina, next day drive to Brandon, drive back to the Hat, drive to Edmonton.
All in 5 ####ing days.
Not to mention I heard today that the Tigers bus driver died while they were playing in Brandon.
Crazy
