Go to Karma. You will not regret it. It's got probably the best buttered chicken in the city...well, IMO anyway.

I liked Namaskar better then Karma, but both were pretty good. Karma has a nice modern decor which I like.

Anyone who loves Indian food should check out Vij's if they're ever in Van. But be prepared to wait 1-2 hours and don't expect butter chicken. Great place!

I think the spelling is Nawab? And yes , it is indeed excellent Indian food. It is also owned my Moti Mahal so no surprise really that the quality of food is so good here. And the mango icecream, if you have dessert, is to die for!!!

See Indian in the sense of Native Indian is politically incorrect meaning that Indian can go about meaning it's actual meaning in describing India.

'Native Indian' while okay in the U.S. is kind of testament to colonial ignorance and the term has been abandoned in favour of either First Nations or Aboriginal.

The correct term for people from India is Indian, Natives are like said above 'First Nations or Aboriginal'. Being Indian I can't believe how many people don't know this already.. whenever I said I'm 'Indian' they always say 'Oh you mean East Indian' ... it's rather annoying. But in a way I do understand the confusion . . .

The only thing is they don't have waiters (unless the owner counts). So sometimes when its really busy the service can be a little down but the food is great
I totally echo this one! Skylark has an amazing lunch buffet...and they always use fresh ingredients, and its authentic Indian cuisine. If you're willing to make a trip to the ghetto to go for lunch, you won't be sorry.....the butter chicken, beef curry, and fresh nan are so good, it makes me weep.

The only person who has an excuse to be confused is Columbus...even then that is pretty weak

I have to second the Taj Mahal. Most of their food is
made from scratch in house.

Tandoori Hut is ok. I haven't been there for ages but it was good when we were there.
