Frost on the list for next year too. He's only got 1 year remaining. And he's not a guy I would overpay to retain.
Not gonna lie, today was insufferable watching my chats all crash out for the lack of trading Kadri or Coleman, b*&ching and moaning about Edwards, and then when we finally did make a trade, "can't wait to be disappointed and get a bunch of 2nds or something stupid".
Perfect. So the Avs can win the next 2 cups, and then plummet when we sign Makar in FA. We then get the 2029 unprotected pick and the Avs "win" the lotto with it.

Would have liked to see him go with another first coming back, but this summer is really going to be interesting with the smaller FA market and teams getting a second bump of cap space. Should be good demand still for guys like Coleman.
I'm glad we still have Coleman ... I think he's a great mentor for our young guys.
And we keep his handsomeness for a bit longer.

I'm in edmonton this week for work, Bob Stauffer having an absolute meltdown about this trade...raging about calgary fans cheering against the oilers last two years and them now cheering for the Aves lol

Conny will also have about 16.5 million in cap space to work with this summer. I’m sure he can leverage that into more futures and I’m fully confident he’s not going to go full Tre and waste money on Brouwer type signings.

Flames from the drafts over 4 years (24-27) currently sit at 23 picks in the first 3 rounds. Not sure if they make all those picks, but that is a lot of draft capital. I think Chicago has had the most of 25 picks over a course of 4 years in the first 3 rounds. More than likely will add a few more in '27 to take a run at that.

In his presser, Conroy was asked about the deals all coming out after the deadline and he said the Kadri deal was done by 11:30 this morning, and the last deal was done by 12:45.
They really had the rumour mill locked down. Thanks for making us sweat waiting for the trade calls.

The Flames are king makers.
First the Panthers, now the Avs.
Coinciding with the Oilers cup window. It takes rivalry to a whole other level.
