Gregor and others clutching their pearls in defense of Spector is hilarious. But the Edmonton media has always been told to all pull in the same direction as an extension of the team. Those guys will be there together long after McDavid get sized for a ring with another organization.

McDavid knows exactly what the options are (exercise his option to leave a year earlier than hoped by the Oilers) which is why he looks right at Spector with a glint in his eye.

The Oilers media gaggle circling the wagons and running McDavid out of town would be so Edmonton.

I think the correct term is Circling the Urinals.

Yeah, I guess that gives a whole new meaning to the “Media Round Table” segments in that market.

He’s played 14 mins through 2 periods. Thought they were sitting him for a game or 2?

For McDavid, playing a mere 7 minutes per period is sitting.

Without him and Draisaitl, they really have nothing.

Oilers are on pace for *EDIT* 89 points...they are fortunate to be in the race at all

After tonight's loss, they're on a pace for 89 points. Furthermore, Seattle is just one point back with two games in hand.

Losing is really the only thing that looks good on them.

EDIT: Nice job by the third point showing up in the Canucks–Jets game. If nobody else is going to show up, but the OT loser point does, it's still a good game from my point of view.

The Oilers just need to stay the course. No drastic changes like firing the coach or making trades.

I love listening to CHED after a loss, especially one like this. The media members always sound so down, and the fans are just out to lunch.

Oh, by all means they should make trades. That's the quickest way to make their team even worse, as they have already proved this season.

My problem was that I couldn’t end it with:

“Ever since then, I’m the Conn Smythe winner!” or

“Ever since then, I’m the bridesmaid.”

CHED Postgame shows are usually best on the weekends when the over emotional and angry drunks call in.

They’re just a couple top 6 forwards away from being a contender.

Well, in all those ‘The Champ’ segments, we never hear of a time when he actually beat another boxer in the ring. Apparently he only got to be ‘The Champ’ by beating up random people in the street for saying things with poor wording.

Allowing 40 goals in the last 8 games when you played the sharks, flames and leafs is horrible.

Who would've thought Jarry wasn't the answer except everyone
