Classic underdog game. USA is bigger, stronger and faster. Canada just clogging things up and trying to be opportunistic.

So close. 2-0 would have been huge.

Canada's clears aren't good. But the US is pressing so hard there may be some odd man breaks available.

The women's game I think has taken a pretty big step in speed and entertainment level. I think the next generation we will start to see a lot more high-level skill plays.

I kinda felt like it was less skilled that what I've seen before.

I think the game play of it flows a lot better (the puck movement and the skating). Like I edited, I think we'll start to see the next group of players that are 14-17 now start to bring a higher end skill to it.

I thought the passing was terrible. Mostly on the receipt of decent passes.

I’m comparing it to 98-2014. I think if you watched it side-by-side with those games you’d be surprised. The speed of the players is definitely way higher.

The 20 minutes of the 2nd period is all the Olympics I have watched. I am an Olympic hater...having no use for the faux nationalism and corrupting that has historically been associated with the event. My wife wanted to see the women's hockey, and I was lounging on the couch, at the time.

From a pure hockey standpoint, the US got caught flat-footed at the offensive blue line, to give up the 2 on 1 SH break, that O'Neill scored. Frankel seemed to telegraph the diving poke check attempt.

The US dominated possession and chances after that, but, Desbiens has been solid, spectacular at times. A lot of chances for both teams have come from loose possession and bouncing pucks.

I haven't decided whether to return to the wife's TV to watch the 3rd (she is watching on my daughter-in-law's account for youtube TV, which I don't have at mine). But will check in later. Rubbing it in, in the case of a Canadian Gold win, wouldn't bother me at all, as I have no emotional stake in any Olympic event.
