Without Morrissey the defense really lacked offense and puck moving ability IMO.
Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Theodore, Raddysh, Chychrun, Schaefer, Dunn, Dobson, and Harley are the top 10 in p/gp by canadian dmen.
I don't like the guy but Bouchard should have probably been there just to be 7th dman and run one of the PP units.

And Bennett not being in this game, not like he hasn’t been one of the biggest performers in huge games in the prior calendar year.

Czechs have always been the toughest team to meet when they're in the lead.

Credit to Czechs too, they had a weak 2nd period but other than that a really strong game.

I think when it comes to team Canada events, Canadian fans are not great. Passionate for sure, but not great.

Maybe should have started Thompson. Even if Canada comes back there will be alot of questions after this game

Man the people calling for Schaefer to be on this team have not watched him play. He is often lost in his own zone.

Even worse, he is hopelessly selfish.

Watching Binnington play any puck makes me really wonder how anyone can see team Canada #1 Starter . He's so poor on his back cuts.

No problem. Just get 98 out there and let him wire one in from distance.

Nope I think we are pointing at the wrong problem.
The forwards selections aren't perfect but there are 20 guys you could take and you only take 14. Going to be some question marks.
The real problem is the defense core just isn't that good, and neither is the goaltending.
SUZUKI!
