You can tell how much Edmonton has drained his will to live because he's playing with more intensity than ever before.

Mcdavid isn't just hitting he is blowing guys up he annihilated that guy.
Schmidt made a good save but in general he is so bad, I dont understand why the Knights would go with a guy with a sub 900 ahl career save percentage as their backup

Thompson looks good. I dont love the Swiss being allowed to hack at him after the whistle there

This is very sloppy. Can't get away with this against the USA.

Because they need the cash to circumvent the cap, of course!

McDavid is far and away the best player on Team Canada so far. Christ does he look good.

The problem with that is he's not likely to choke against France, and after the France game, every game is an elimination game, so there's no room for error.

So Swiss know how to hit McDavid, but the NHL as a whole don't?

Looked like Marner took a crosscheck to the chin from the swiss d-man there? The clip cut away so didn't see for sure.

He bobbled the shot on that cheesy Swiss powerplay they whined about, but Thompson has otherwise looked solid. He's actually been tested a bit here too

Lol, it does sound exactly the same, but it's Bertschy. Not our boy Sven.

Christoph Bertschy (who had a cup of coffee in the NHL with the Wild years ago) is on the Swiss team.
Sven retired a couple of years ago.

Negative. That's Christoph Bertschy, he plays in Europe.

Absolutely despise how no one gets knocked out after the group phase. The whole round has no meaning except seeding and a bye for 4 teams, really dont like it. Would have been so much better to have a 4th group of 4 and eliminate half the teams and make these games actually matter
