Even though Binnington got a shut out last night, I didn't think his rebound control looked great. I think he would get exposed against some stronger competition.
I hope Canada gives Thompson this game to see if he can be more steady back there.

Thompson today I would guess, but sunday? Does Keumper get a game also or is it narrowed to 1-2 usually with these quick tournaments? I know last year Binnington played all games...

I guess this answers my question :
Cooper hints at Logan Thompson getting the start today against Switzerland after Jordan Binnington’s shutout. It’s simple — the head coach wanted to see both of his goaltenders early in the tournament. Binnington was solid with 26 saves against Czechia, but now Thompson has to prove his worth.

My guess would be Thompson today, Binnington against France and then unless Binnington does poorly against France that they will have him in net for the quarterfinals.,
Thompson was first off ice at practice which is usually reserved for the starting goalie.

Would guess the same, does not make sense to evaluate/play 3 goalies in such a short tournament.

It feels like they tried to set it up for Thompson; if Binnington had played poorly yesterday and they'd won a 5-3 game, and Thompson came in today and shut out an inferior opponent, there would be a good story for sticking with Thompson. But Binnington was very good.
When's this game? I thought it was supposed to start at 1 eastern.

Binnington isn't going to lose his job unless he chokes a game...kinda scary but it is what it is

The scary thing is Czechia could have easily scored 1 or 2 yesterday.
A stronger team could have probably scored 3 or 4.

Why is there no pre-game programming? Or am I on the wrong channel?

Lots of NHL'ers on Switzerland too, I didn't realize that. It really shows the parity of international hockey, no 12-0 wins anymore.
