I didn't care for the show but for me it's all about musical taste and nothing about politics as I'm as anti-Trump as there is. I listen to heavy metal and totally detached from pop music and what's popular these days. I have nothing against that kind of music but it didn't seem even Ricky Martin catchy. Just seemed like mid grade Latino hip-hop or whatever that is called. As long as the general audience liked it that's all that matters as I fully know the Super Bowl isn't catering to my personal tastes.

I don't think that will happen. Teams are really going to double down on these shell defences and try to force teams to try and run against a light box. Until a few teams show they're able to run into this type of defence without taking penalties or losses to open up more in the passing game it's going to be a tough trend to break. Too many young QB's who can't seem to play under center or offensive play callers not willing to do this more.

Plus with the potential 18 game season coming, more games where teams will be out of the race and potential injuries

All the talk about improving QB play and offense is made more hilarious when you consider some of the hand wringing and end of days talk that came out of the 54-51 Chiefs-Rams MNF game. Not even a decade later and not only has defense not been killed, all it's taken is cover 2 coming back in style to set offensive football back a decade. Hopefully this doesn't end with more rule changes to help offense and offenses can start figuring out how to be more creative to get the ball down the field. But, given how important fantasy and gambling are to the NFL, I assume rule changes will come rather than face a dead ball era of football.

I actually love that a team won the SB primarily due to dominant defensive play for a change. It's been too long.

I mean the Eagles literally just happened lol. Even the Chiefs win in 2023 could be viewed more as a defensive win than an offensive one. Even if you kick that out, four of the last six Super Bowls have been won almost exclusive because one teams DL simply kicked the #### out of the other teams OL (Bucs, Rams, Eagles, Seahawks).

Maybe we can add "Garbage Man" to the list of nicknames for Maye.
What perplexes me about Maye last night was the fact that he insisted on standing still in the pocket instead of using his legs to buy time. When he's used his legs this year, that's when he's had more success.

That's always bee the cycle. Defense trails offense whenever new offensive schemes or rules are implemented but eventually some of the brightest defensive minds will find a solution. I just hope the NFL doesn't overcorrect with more rule changes as I do think some of this is attributed to changeover at the QB position with a large group of HOF level QB's retiring this decade.

I think so too, but these kinds of teams never seem to win multiple SBs.

Think of the Bills this year. They had three games where in big moments they pulled out the hook and ladder successfully (amazingly lost all three cause Bills). If defenses are gonna try and compress the field to take away deep plays and force everything underneath, offenses need to start using in-play misdirection as much as pre-snap motion, and not just in desperation moments. Feels like offenses have become more stunted just as much as defenses have improved.
