Default 2026 NFL Playoffs Thread

Wild Card schedule is out. Wide ass open year, could see any of these teams winning it all or being eliminated in a four TD loss.

The one thing I'm sure of is the Texans are going to murder the Steelers. The rest are actually pretty tough calls overall. You'd think New England will win but until you've seen them play in the playoffs you never know. I guess I'm pretty confident in the Eagles' chances given that the 49ers are basically a hospital ward but those teams both have such massive swings in quality week to week.

Wow the Texans aren't in the first game on Saturday.... they're usually a staple in that spot I also thought they might do the Niners and Eagles as the Sunday Night game.

I guess the script is for Allen and the Bills to pull the upset and have them play in Denver the following Saturday?

The line will obviously change throughout the week but Houston is -2.5 right now. They should beat the Steelers easily but you got a believe in the old man, possible retirement magic.

Texans in a close one.
Buffalo probably in an easy one.
Pats against a depleted Chargers team

Packers in an ugly one.
Rams in an easy one.
Eagles in a close one.

Opening lines I can find are

Rams -10 as road chalk Total 46.5
Bears -1 at home Total 46 is close to a pick'em
Bills -1 as a short dog in DuuuuVaaal total of 51.5
Patriots -3.5 favorites Total of 45.5
Eagles -3.5 at home Total of 46.5 vs San Fran
Texans are a -3 favorite on the road Total 39.5

My early leans are 4 dogs with the Rams and Eagles being my two favorites to cover. Might switch on the Patriots too. I think Liam Cohen will motivate his team if they're a dog here. AFC could be anyone's this year. As much as people doubt the Eagles, I'm going to go with them to come thru now that it matters in the NFC.

I don’t think any of the AFC games will be that close. NFC games will be good though.

I can see Texans hosting a round 2 game as a 5 seed. Or they could just as easily be eliminated by the Steelers. They've never won a road playoff game and they had never before made the playoffs as a wild card.

Just heard a stat that Tomiin is 23-0 on Monday nights at home. That is quite the streak.

Tomlin's MNF record - which is largely a regular season stat, first of all - is not his record with this Steelers team. I've just seen this team play the back half of their schedule. The games are on TV. They put up points against bad or injury-riddled defences. They got completely shut down by the Browns. They couldn't get anything going against the Chargers. Event the Bills held them to 7. The Texans defense is going to annihilate them.

Go Jags!

Cam Little with a walk-off 70-yard field goal, topping his existing records of 68 and 67 yards.

As a Bills fan I'm pessimistic by nature so I'm having a hard team seeing them win on the road against a team on a heater unless Allen goes Allen and the defense actually limits the run game.

For those picking the Bills I'm curious as to your thoughts.

After some thought, in order of certainty,

AFC
Texans over Steelers
Patriots over Chargers
Jaguars over Bills

NFC
Rams over Panthers
Eagles over 49ers
Packers over Bears
