Rumors today that Trocheck will only waive for an eastern team. Might take a team like Detroit out of the running for him but for teams like LA and Dallas in the west looking to add a center, there's not much of quality past Kadri now and they might have to push hard for him. It's too bad the Kings have such a weak asset base but I could see something around a 1st, Helenius and a spare part if there's no retention and given recent returns.

Got a score alert that BT and the Leafs are looking for a 1st rounder for pending UFA McMann. Doubt anyone gives that up, let alone a 2nd.

He will nab a second, speed and scoring is a relatively rare combo for a contender looking for some extra help and he's very cheap for what he brings. But I heard on Kyper and Bourne that he could well be re-signed by the wizard.

I could 100% see the flames overpaying him as a UFA this summer, they are going to need to get to the floor and are very thin on centers - edit nevermind he doesnt' actually play center in the NHL

I mean, depending on what happens with Huberdeau we will definitely need to spend some money. I'd worry that this is a flash in the pan for him though.

Funny NHL.com and hockeydb have him listed as a center but yeah pretty clearly he's a wing. Smells more like an oilers overpay

Hopefully those clowns think they can get Laine to play less Fortnite and score more goals instead. I don't think they can afford McMann, unless they get someone to take Eatbread (pretty unlikely at over 3 million). They get some relief with Henrique coming off the books, but I'd imagine they want to re-sign Roslovic.

As much as his numbers are not great offensive production wise, now that I'm thinking about it imagining Helenius at center with Klapka on the wing for an energy line during a rebuild is really nice if he could be part of a Kadri return. He is tough as nails and massive too. That line would just destroy Oilers

As for kids, cherish every minute of it (having them is wonderful)
In the moment it feels like the days are long, you're exhausted, cranky and feel like there's no hope.
But when you step back years later, you end up wondering where the time went and you miss the days your kids were so young and so innocent.

I've got two boys, 5 and 7 and both are complete hockey junkies. (4-5 hours of some type of hockey a day - mini stix, EANHL26, Playmobile hockey table, airhockey, community hockey + ODR time)
Days are so busy, weekends we're at the rink constantly but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Listening to how much they love hockey is a dream, bonus points for both being die hard flames fans and hating the Oilers, though my youngest is now upset because his favorite Huberdeau is out for the season.

If Boston gets the 10th overall pick or so, it'll be the nail in the coffin for him I'd think. But I can also see a scenario where management in advance puts feelers out there for potential replacements, but with little assets to work with pick-wise, they may not get the best candidates, leaving BT to clean up his own mess, thus failing upwards in some way.
