At this point it does seem like the 49'ers might need to kneel it out. Gutsy team who should not have won last week. But looks like everything they had against them caught up to them tonight.

The Rams do everything well. They can absolutely run the ball and have as good a dual threat RB room as almost anyone.
EDIT: That said they have to be strong favourites after that performance. We'll see how NE handles the Texans defence that is approximately as good, but yeesh. When you score enough points to win in the first 13 seconds of the game it's fairly absurd.

Edit: Never mind I found it in the Athletic-
"The injury happened late in Denver’s final drive, as Nix ran to the left on first-and-10 and was tackled by Bills safety Cole Bishop for a 2-yard loss. Nix then drew a pass interference penalty on a deep throw to Marvin Mims Jr. He limped off the field after kneeling the ball to set up Wil Lutz’s game-winning field goal."

These two videos show it happening. Hindsight and all that, but having Nix doing designed runs doesn't seem ideal, amazingly he had as many rush attempts yesterday as Josh did.

Shout out to Alex Singleton who had the huge forced fumble, and was all over the field last night.
The guy continues to support and shout out the Stamps, and my hopes of his one more circuit in Calgary are gone.
Pretty tragic loss for the Broncos losing Bo Nix for the rest of the year.

Sure in super slow replay it looks like Cooks has possession but in real
Time that's a bang bang play and Cooks

The Cooks catch and interception was 100% the correct call. It's been verified by and broken down as correct call. The first PI call was a little ticky tack but proven to be within the rules so unfortunate but as always there is a human element to these games and some teams will get the short end of the stick but the Bills had so many opportunities to win in regulation on passes they just couldn't complete that you can't blame the officials as championship teams make the plays that are there to be made and Allen and the Bills just didn't make the plays when it counted.

Cooks has MacMillan beat on that play, throw the ball 2 or 3 yards more and it's an easy catch and possibly a walk off TD. Go back to the end of the first half and not do the CJ Stroud impression and the Bills could win in regulation. Not only did Allen carelessly fumble...he basically threw the ball 7 yards backwards to make it a shorter field goal. I get that he's pretty banged up, and has really carried the Bills. Unlike a lot of previous losses by the Bills, Allen made a lot of errors, and the Bronco's capitalized on all of them.

The issue as always is not just the lack of consistency from one crew to the other, or even the lack of consistency from one crew from game to game. It's that within the same game we see a ref crew treat similar plays in different ways. Take the two PI's on the winning drive. Then watch the pass attempt to Cooks with ~30 seconds left in regulation. They all have a similar level of "interference". but one of them gets uncalled. And if the Bills get that call, they almost certainly win because they'd have it at 1 yard line with 25 seconds left down 30-27.
Ultimately, if we're going to be saddled with a declining product and overwhelmed with an abhorrent amount of gambling pushed on us, get this #### right at least. Don't care anymore if games take six weeks to play, the richest sports league on earth can find ways to get this done right. Does it want to is the actual question, and so far the answer is a resounding no.

Don't forget the Bills holding in the endzone was pretty clear. Imagine if a safety from a penalty ended it.

It was probably the most obvious penalty of them all and went uncalled precisely to avoid a safety ending the game. But that speaks to the inconsistency not just in what is called, but when it is called. Cause yeah after a few penalties going uncalled in the name of "not effecting the outcome", they then call a couple ticky tacks that do effect the outcome. Same problem as the first Chiefs-Eagles SB, let them play all game and then call it to the letter late.

Bullock got a hand on it, but Douglas holds on, and gets away. The margins on some of these plays is really thin.

Fumble luck x2 for the Patriots on that sequence with the kickoff and sack.
