I remember when he first broke into the league, seeing him play against Calgary, he was super impressive. His skill-set and size are unique.
He was drafted as a 19 year old and has been a slow burn...I believe he is a late bloomer with less miles on his odometer than most. Similar to a Giordano or a Weegar - the best is yet to come with him.
I remember wanting the Flames to trade for him two years ago. I still want the Flames to trade for him. He is a middle-pairing D who could thrive in the right environment. Plus, it gives Wolf a red-headed friend so they won't feel too left out.
Make it happen Craig!

If they watched the last Boston-Calgary game they should have noticed him. He scored against Calgary.

Don't think so based off the names.

Lohrei, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, would also add to the Flames' collection of alumni born in unconventional hockey markets.
Gilroy, California
Plano, Texas
Los Gatos, California
Scottsdale, Arizona
Naples, Florida
Belfast, Northern Ireland
Tychy, Poland
Plymouth, England
Okene, Nigeria
Salt Lake City, Utah
Kyiv, Ukraine
Bandung, Indonesia
And, of course, Recife, Brazil.
Non-exhaustive list that still presumably leads the league based on exactly no research but 100% vibes.

I don't hate on Lohrei, but I do think he should be harder on his stick, and have better gaps. He is very similar to Parekh, he can wow you in the o-zone, pulling a toe drag, dangling the defender, but at the same time he can frustrate you at the defensive end.
If you liked Zadorov then Lohrei is the same sort of a rollercoaster. He could figure things out defensively, and if he does then he's going to be a very very good player, that's fun to watch. At the same time it's a gamble, and he could end up similar to Kylington Miromanov and Bean.
