Nope. No conditions related to re-signing can be placed on a trade under the new CBA.
Nice idea, it's just against the rules.

It’s also a way for Conroy to put a bit of pressure on the Andersson camp. Let Boston sell him on the offer and the situation.

Having Lindholm there hopefully helps sell Boston to him.

Doubt it would sink the deal, even if he did. He's signed through next season. Not a big deal to the Flames if he were set to miss a month

How so????
The longer this goes, the more likely it’s a great deal. There.

What if it goes on so long that the timeline inverts and becomes better the longer it goes?

I'm fine with the rumored Lohrei / 1st / Poitras. It still wouldn't hurt to ask for a 1st instead of Poitras and Lohrei. Especially with how injury prone H. Lindholm is. For a team trying to make the playoffs, it would be better for Boston to add without much subtraction. I get most are saying Lohrei is a bottom pairing D with PP ice time, however, he is still producing with that limited ice time. There's value in that.
Plus, a D lineup of:
H. Lindholm - McAvoy
Zadorov - Andersson
Lohrei - Jokiharju
Looks pretty good.

Flames want 2 1sts or equivalent. Boston has 2 1sts. Seems pretty simple to me

Agreed. Give me the lesser of BOS/TOR 2026 and BOS/FLA in 2027. Easy.

I wonder if all the Lohrei doubters have actually watched him?
I remember when he first broke into the league, seeing him play against Calgary, he was super impressive. His skill-set and size are unique.
He was drafted as a 19 year old and has been a slow burn...I believe he is a late bloomer with less miles on his odometer than most. Similar to a Giordano or a Weegar - the best is yet to come with him.
I remember wanting the Flames to trade for him two years ago. I still want the Flames to trade for him. He is a middle-pairing D who could thrive in the right environment. Plus, it gives Wolf a red-headed friend so they won't feel too left out.
Make it happen Craig!

Boston has just enough cap space now ($1.75 million prorated) to fit in Andersson's salary if they trade back Lohrei. If they keep Lohrei, they can't quite add Andersson even with maximum retention. From their point of view, he would be pretty much a cap dump on the deal; from Conroy's, a reclamation project that might be turned into something useful later on.
Conroy's stated price was two 1sts or the equivalent. Poitras has developed, so far, better than the average 2nd-round pick, and he plays a valued position, so he's not far off of ‘the equivalent’, and of course the 1st would be a 1st. Which pretty much means that any value he can extract from Lohrei is playing with house money.

He has two goals in tonight's game. Guess Boston will keep him now.

Fine, keep Lohrei and offer a better prospect.
Letourneau will do.
