Flames prefered Stockselius to Ihs-Wozniak only a few months ago. Not like Ihs-Wozniak has set the world on fire since ... didn't make the WJC team either (fellow Swedish 2nd rounders Genborg and Gastrin did).

Not trashing him, but he would be very underwhelming centerpiece. Add the facts that they obviously don't own a 1st this year and, you know, Vegas sucks, and they make for a pretty ####ty trade partner. There's easily 25 teams out there I'd rather trade with.

To be fair though we dont know how the flames had him ranked other than at that time they chose different. However doest mean if they used a player scale that stock had a score of 68 and Woz had a 67?

Just because they passed on him doesn't mean they weren't interested in him. There was someone else they thought would be better with that pick. Every team will have times in each draft where they have two or more players who they would like to pick with their next selection but they can only pick one.

Do not make excuses for this team if they deal with Vegas. Ras was allegedly the top soon to be free agent RHD on the market. A deal with Vegas like that would be a complete failure to capitalize.

So the rumour a couple days ago was 2 east teams and a West team.

My gut right now is that was Boston, Detroit, and San Jose.

Feels like they had the trade value Conroy wanted, but question now is do they have the contract value that Andersson needs to resign early.

Right - how many of those teams will he extend with is the real question.

Allegedly not Detroit/Boston/Ottawa/LA. Down to 4 teams then, 3 of which are asset poor.
