To be fair Andersson looked much worse last year than this year. If Conroy pulls this off and brings a 1st and a solid prospect/young player back for Andersson, he deserves a pat on the back. Top notch asset management and execution if this goes through as rumored.

More like he is going to be apart from his kid for the rest of the year. Maybe his kid won't see him play another game this year. But who knows - if it's important to him, it's important to him.

FWIW, they don't land until 3-something.

Agreed just seems weird and an unnecessary risk from flames perspective

I think the negative value of Huberdeau is greater than the large positive value of Andersson.

Or people just need to relax and not complain about stuff that hasn’t happened.

If the trade is based on Andersson signing an extension, he controls the timing of that.

Condition - If 1st is top 5, both slide back 1 round, still in 2028.

*Gabe Smith, a giant body to dig in the corner and rub his butt in a goalies face would really complement either of the top 2 picks this year (if we get one of them, and if he becomes a player).

Utah gets the guys they need for a push this year, and some insulation from selling the farm by have more future assets, Flames set a deadline for themselves to get out of the mushy middle fast.
I keep thinking the same thing. I put Desnoyers in the proposal instead of Iginla because everyone keeps talking about how untouchable Iginla is as the franchise's first draft selection...

I suppose Coleman would be a good add for pushing Carcone down the depth chart. That would be a good shot in the arm for the team as they wait for Cooley to come back from the IR.

Which is why i said that I will cease to doubt Conroy if this level of return materializes. Frankly it's unbelievable based on where we were at beginning of year.

I think it's less about playing a game in front of his kid and maybe more about not getting traded on the road.

Let him get home, chat with his wife, and be with his family when the trade is announced.

I agree, and I don't know that Ras signs with a team making a push. I think he signs with a team that is leading, So there are probably only 4-6 teams that could be in the mix. And Sec I think implied it's really only 2-3.

But that would just be a fun trade to see.

If Craig could get this done today, I would appreciate it. It’s cutting into my Mexico vacation!
