In the middle of one your rants about people not being fans for not hating players who don’t beat the Oilers. Monahammer is the one who said he wouldn’t get a 1st.

I don't agree.
Backlund is here.
If it came down to Coleman V. Kadri? Coleman all day every day. I think the Flames should (and will) trade Kadri, and capitalize on the hot centre market.

I said all he was worth at the beginning of the season was a 2nd because of his crapstatic last year. Well it seems he played tag with Weegar and made him the worst dman on the team. lol
Conroy was always going to get more for him. Look at what he got for Lindholm.
But yes. I hate the Oilers. Do you?

If Ras agrees to an extension with his new team and increases the Flames return, he will be my new hero.

I think Coleman/Kadri depends more on the other teams and what they are willing to pay

Kadri had a tough to move contract. Coleman might want to get out of dodge but still has a lot of control

I thought they could really use him too, with how weak the west is they really should make a playoff push in their position, I'm not sure how imbalanced this is, but my useless fan proposal;
Gabe Smith + Iginla + '28 3rd (cond.) <---> '28 1st (cond.), Ras, Goalman.
Condition - If 1st is top 5, both slide back 1 round, still in 2028.
*Gabe Smith, a giant body to dig in the corner and rub his butt in a goalies face would really complement either of the top 2 picks this year (if we get one of them, and if he becomes a player).
Utah gets the guys they need for a push this year, and some insulation from selling the farm by have more future assets, Flames set a deadline for themselves to get out of the mushy middle fast.

Soon there will be more sellers like NYR and more players on the market. Hope Conroy haven't missed his opportunity to get better return for our assets.

I'm no Royle or Sec, but I had heard earlier this week that Saturday evening or Sunday were most likely. Rasmus wanted one more game in front of his son, and, of course, time to discuss the final decision with his wife in person. Craig is big on treating players as assets AND people.
Seems things have dramatically heated up last night and this morning, though, based on Royle/Sec/LeBrun and the local guys. Let's see!

That seems weird. His son is 3 1/2 not like it’ll be a core memory for him dad’s last game.

Edit - Nevermind, totally read the trade wrong. But I still don't think Utah considers trading Iginla at all.

I agree. The standings are starting to take shape and a few teams in the East are looking like they are out but a few teams in the East are in the race and may turn into buyers.
Same with the West. Teams like SJ and Seattle could be buyers. Add Buffalo in the East are examples of teams that are new potential buyers that most would not have expected to be in this position weeks ago
