Sounds like the biggest bat in UFA once again used the Jays as a stalking horse to get what he wanted from their preferred market. Here's to hoping Bo doesn't feel slighted. Certainly hurts a lot less this off-seasons since both the year and the off season have both gone so much better.

No more slighted than Vlad last year.
But, Vlad did feel slighted and Atkins and crew ignored his deadline a couple months after as well.
Bo won’t be as forgiving or patient as Vlad and I think he’s gone.
As far as Tucker, if true, after the Mets lost out on a couple guys, the ridiculous offer of $50M a year. 3 years made some sense for the Mets and not the player, but the fact the Mets allegedly moved to 5 years days later at that same AAV is nuts, so how could he say no.
The Jays IMO slow played things to try and save some money hoping the market would soften, and probably could’ve had Tucker if they pushed their current offer to him few weeks ago. I think Tucker was willing to come to Toronto, being friends with Springer etc. Instead the Jays sat on it and the Mets got desperate and opened the wallet.
