I'm fine with it. McCarron definitely played a role in how that played out, as did the officials, but you can't sucker punch people like that either.

You can if you play for the Panthers or lightning...other non hockey markets. The 7 Canadian teams have an unproportional amount of suspensions

And no it’s not just based on intent. Regardless of whether it was deserved or justified you can’t sucker punch a guy after a linesman has broken up a fight even if they deserve it.

The suspension was deserved, McCarron could and should have been suspended as well

If he was knocked out he would have had to go for concussion protocol. He didn't.
