Well any smart person who could use the process of deduc….nevermind we are talking about Oiler fans.

Never forget Kevin Lowe (by way of an annoyed Hollnad) signing Kassian to an extension and raise in the two weeks between that first game and the rematch like this was a WWE Road to Wrestlemania.

I don’t think it’s by choice though, at least for some of them. Any hockey analyst with half a brain knows that the Oilers are a no good 2-man team with terrible D and zero depth who relies on diving their way to McPPs to score. But as long as McDavid is on that team, all SN employees will be forced to toe the company line and gobble the Oilers’ knobs.

If McLotteryball ends up going to another team, they’ll switch to gobbling that team’s knobs, especially if he ends up on the Leafs.

Nah. Too many Leafs games on TSN for them to be a focal point for RSN.

McDavid GP 41 - G 24 - A 46 - Pts 70

One player is a crazy +51 the other is a +1 and a PP hog
This……..everyone says that +/- is a useless stat because it’s a team stat. I’m sorry, but when you’re on the ice for almost half the game it’s no longer just a team stat.

Just struck me out of curiosity, but is there a stat for career power play minutes? You'd think McHobo and Draisatl would be legit threats for the all time record on that stat.

Sure, but they traded Ceci and could've matched that contract. Nurse was a terrible contract, but this is their own incompetence.

Don’t forget that they had months and months to sign them, but lowballed them repeatedly. They couldn’t even get close enough to market value for a hometown discount. St Louis makes an offer, and they still had the opportunity to match one or both. They chose not to. It will be even funnier as Broberg continues to develop and ekholm becomes even more stationary until he retires. 2 years max.

All of this to say…

Haha stupid Oilers.

Apparently (rumour on the Pigs website), the Flames will help out the Pigs by taking Eat Bread back for a late draft pick or Carter King so the Pigs will be able to use the cap space to get someone better in their quest for the Cup. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.

True, they were incompetent with the entire process with Broberg and Holloway. Funny thing is that they signed Ceci the same summer they extended Nurse going into his final year.

Nurse didn't give them any discount, so they would have been much better letting the last year play out, he would have signed was much less. Everyone knew that year was a blip for Nurse.

Loved Eat Bread when he was here. But he's got Oiler stink on him now for the rest of eternity, so f*** that.

Even without that, and even if he got better away from the Oilers, he makes zero sense for the Flames. He's not better than Coronato, Zary, Klapka, Farabee, Pospisil, or even Sharangovich. He'd block Gridin.

Not sure why the flames would even want Bread back to begin with, he wouldnt offer any more value then the wingers we already have on L3/L4.

Let alone eating cap and sending a prospect back to help the oilers?

I'd say offer Huberdeau for Mangiapane straight up but Huberdeau probably would get the ice time with McDavid or Draisaitl that Mangiapane thinks he being screwed out of, and Huberdeau would suddenly catch fire.

Unless it's Mang + 2027 1st unprotected for a 7th.
Pigs need cap space and that's the price for cap space.

I like to see them endure the pain of being too handcuffed to make any adds.

They certainly made their own bed over the last couple years, including throwing two very good and relatively cheap players away because they were cheaper. It's time they sleep in it.
