If there was any doubt about McDavid’s ability to recognize how to build a winner…
He was visibly angry that Hyman, boo boo and the tenderness didn’t make team Canada. The Tenderness! Haha. Tenderness, boo boo and Hyman are so far down the list of players to be considered. I wouldn’t even have them on standby nor even on the b team.
In fairness, he was either deliriously happy, crazy mad, or meh about the whole thing.
I couldn’t tell which emotion from the cardboard cutout interview he gave.

don't underestimate all the second PP assists the Tenderness gets.

Oh they'll get it simply by virtue of who and what they are.

It's quite amazing how the media polishes McDavid's knob after a hot streak against mostly bottom teams.
But we all know who the better player is.
MacKinnon GP 39 - G 34 - A 36 - Pts 70
McDavid GP 41 - G 24 - A 46 - Pts 70
One player is a crazy +51 the other is a +1 and a PP hog

I'd disagree, and think the hockey gods woke up after their last stanley cup several decades ago. The Oilers now get what is coming to them which is another decade (15 years or so) of darkness. Give it two or three years. All signs point to joy.

Every New Year’s I have the same question: 'How are the Oilers going to screw it up in the playoffs?

I hope the answer is, "by not making the playoffs."

Sadly, the Pacific is so bad that they probably will make the playoffs. But thankfully this current team is much worse than the two teams that went to back-to-back finals. If they draw the Kings in round 1 again, they'll likely get into round 2. But that's as far as they'll go I think.
Edmonton is no good.

Words uttered by Michaels in last nights game "Bruins score to go back on top 3-1"
No matter how much Oiler teet sucking there is Jack, 2-1 is not a tie score.
