I watched the fantastic 80s French film Subway by Luc Besson, huge recommendation from me. This movie is just really cool, and has so many fantastic shots and colors the Paris subway pops. The movie revolves around a thief who falls on love with a beautiful wife of the millionaire he just robbed. The thief takes refuge in the Paris subway station meeting a cast of strange characters. I kept it very vague but it's awesome

Also watched Tron: Ares and I liked it a bit more than I'd expected. The music of course is the highlight.
But the themes in this one and the setup for a 4th movie are interesting.. Flynn's grid the programs have personalities, individualism. In Dillinger's grid they're just programs that obey. Two conflicting worldviews of what the digital frontier should be and how humanity should/could interface with it.
It'd be cool if the 4th movie is the battle between these ideals maybe a bit deeper than Dillinger becoming the next big bad.
Probably will never know though.

I haven't seen the third yet, but I assume it would be pretty confusing not knowing how Sully ended up there, that he's human, the progress of the human wars on them, unobtanium(ok, well that will never make sense), the rat tail hair thing, living planet...
I guess if you want to see an Avatar movie I have no idea why you'd start on the third one.
It's the one in theaters now, and there's not much point in watching these on TV.
Plus I don't care for doing 5-6 hours of homework before going to see a popcorn action adventure.

I've watched the beginning 5-6 times to show off my "new" 3D tv but never made it past the 1st hour. No interest in watching it at all and I am a huge James Cameron fan.

I've said it before, but buying a projector and setting up a media room(on the cheap) was a great decision. Watching at home is just better in so many ways if you have a decent setup.

I went to the movies yesterday after dropping off donuts and breaking down. Wanted to clear my head.
Decided to head to chinook and went to Hamnet which was just starting. Ten minutes in and I'm out like a light. It was not my jam. Wake up and I have no idea what is going on in it so just walked out. Holy fata was it boring and slow. Cannot give a review because I didn't really watch any of it. I am sure its fine but not for me.
Anyone watch this? Supposedly really popular but only 41% fan rating on RT so not sure I want to watch it. I haven't seen a good disaster movie in a while so maybe still worth it.

Have you watched Moonfall? it was entertaining to pass the time as long as you don't have to pay real money for it.

Sorry, did you go into Hamnet expecting a buddy cop film?
I hate buddy cop films. Don't presume I'm dumb please. My brother who makes movies said it was awesome. I do not share that view now. Period dramas can be good but not this one.
Hamnet is the other name for Hamlet apparently. About shakespeare creating Hamlet. I knew immediately I was fataed when that was explained at the very beginning.

Personally, Hamnet was my favourite movie of 2025.
