Usually yes, most participants end up sharing what they have received. It becomes part of the fun as everybody gets to judge how Locke will respond to his new collection of spices.

My current intern is a great kid, he is Indian and his parents love that I'm teaching him the business so his mom made me a lunch.
I just about died. I was praying for death.
The last thing a white guy should eat is 'Indian food the way Mom makes it.'

A guys I worked had a similar experience with one of our Indian colleagues at the time. Never seen a guy sweat so much. Said it was delicious but can imagine there was an aspect of "they taste like burning."

Yeah, quick story, but I took the family to Sylvan Lake a few years back and I had to get something out of the car and there was this Indian family trying to blow up an enormous lake floatie thing with a footpump. It was going to take them all day and probably inflict a couple of heart attacks.
So I just went up to them and told them: "Hey, I've got a power outlet in the back of my car here and an electric pump, just bring it over here and I'll inflate it for you."
So we did that. They were very nice and really grateful, so the Mom came over and brought my whole family lunch.
Of course...I was a bit hesitant at first because if I'm going to die I'd rather it not be on a public beach.
But it was delicious! She even emailed us the recipe, of course with 'spice to preference.' But yeah, it was great.
What it did though is further my inherent distrust of Indian food. Some of it is amazingly delicious. Some of it is like swallowing a hand grenade. Which is which? I dont know.

Sorry was out with the flu and not online the last couple of days- the package arrived and doesn't appear to be whining to be fed, so not a puppy! I caught a glimpse of Santa's Red Sleigh (with a Flames plate of course!) as it pulled away. Looks intriguing but will wait until Xmas eve to open it.
