The van even has an on-board kegerator. We get somewhere where we get decent Wi-Fi we can drink beer and do a DS9 rewatch until your wife forgets all about it. Might even get some ransom out of the deal?
My wife went to High School with one of the actors on Discovery so we tried to watch it and we still couldn't choke it down. One of my clients was in the Section 31 'movie' and that was brutal. So I feel your pain and am offering my assistance.

My speculation is that they're going to 'hand wave' this away saying that the Founders had a change of heart at some point in time and made the Jem'Hadar a proper species that could pro-create on their own now.
The writers and show runners don’t care enough about Trek to even bother explaining it.
It will be identical to “Spock has a sister” and “Kilingons don’t have hair”.

I am currently watching "Voyager" while I exercise. 45 min on the treadmill while I watch an episode. Today, I am greeted with Netflix saying "Leaving Soon" to Voyager, which will be leaving on Jan 8, it seems.
I just watched S5, E24 today. There's no way I am watching 54 episodes before Jan 8.

Yeah, Voyager has some unbelievable highs. Year of Hell is in the conversation for best two-parters in Star Trek (Best of Both Worlds is a trilogy and doesn't count).
But...

I'm in a similar boat, but I'm watching DS9 - god damn it's good. Avery Brooks is an absolute power house. I have it on my Plex server though, so I'm covered.

a couple of times in that two parter it would have gone from a 10 to 11.

It's Star Trek, so they should be able to tell any number of good stories. But I suspect there will be a single season spanning crisis that only these kids can solve.
