Yeah I don't see Dallas being a fit any longer. They've kind of made their bed with Rantanen. Maybe Coleman, that kind of feels like a homecoming that'd sell well on both sides. And is likely an affordable option that Dallas has assets for.

But Andersson? I suspect there'll be much better offers out there from the east. Or hopefully a Pacific team ahead of LV wishing to keep them buried . Because I'd love to see a strategic trade with the like of Anaheim or L.A.

Because if Edmonton goes nuclear again and makes the playoffs, then LV ends up being a Lottery team which is yuge for the Flames.

Edit: unless Dallas wants to do one of the shocker trades where they move a guy nobody thought would move. I don't see a path for Dallas if futures are the target.

Then there's still that hairbrained whacky scheme of Jason Robertson to CGY...

A 2nd from a contender is more like a 3rd

Yeah if nobody wants him but he has a good track record and he hustles

I can tell you right now if the best offer for Coleman is a 2nd and a b prospect he is not going anywhere. The only way Coleman moves is if they make an offer Conny has to take.

As it should be.

Can’t even imagine what they could offer. Bischel, Hemming, 27 1st and 26 2nd and 26 3rd and Lybushkin as a cap dump for Ras and Coleman at 50%?

I can see Yzerman stepping away from paying the 4 big assets that Minny did for Hughes, but he might be willing to pay a good, young asset and a first for Andersson or Kadri…

He will almost certainly get at least a 2nd at the deadline next year so no sense in sending him away for that now.

I think you’re undervaluing Coleman. He’s having a great season, he’s a “fixer”, Flames could retain 50%, and he’s a Champion.

I don’t think the Flames move Coleman unless it includes value equal to or greater than a 1st round pick…and I don’t think they’ll have trouble finding a 1st round pick in an offer.

On another note…Edmonton now up 5-2, I can’t see Treliving sitting still much longer in Toronto.

Do any PO teams have more than their own picks to spend?

I think that Coleman goes if the return is a player that was picked in the middle rounds, but has a great D+1 or D+2 year. From Dallas, Cameron Schmidt natural RW taken at #94 but playing like he should have been a late 1st.

I think that is the sort of return, and barring that you just let him and Backlund raise the kids.

Bruins currently holding Toronto’s and their own 1st.

…and I actually wonder about Raz and them.

Blackhawks are right there (although the Bedard injury…) and they hold Florida’s.

Islanders hold Colorado’s, Seattle has Tampa’s, SJ has Edmonton’s.

Please get torontos pick. Matthews looks past his prime already, and they have no help coming anytime soon

It'd be funny if they used Toronto's pick to get Andersson seeing as how Toronto wants him but can't afford him.

Raz for the Leafs 1st, Létourneau and a 3rd. Pull the trigger Bruins.

6-2 Edmonton.

Shame Treliving blew his assets on depth pieces, his roster is in shambles. What a shame.

…I’d be all over Toronto’s 2028 1st…

Boston could trade it knowing it will be more valuable than any other First being offered, realistically. It’s good opportunity for Boston to cash in.

I put that offer (Coleman for a 2nd and Bourque.) into three different AI's for laughs and they all said Dallas says no. So I guess AI hates the Flames.
Edit: 4 for 4 LOL

Oh man....for the options available to CC...I wish I knew the offers ....I would totally take a flyer on an unprotected 2028 1st round pick from Toronto. It's a few years out, but I have feelings TO is going to go downhill in the next couple of years

The wizard likes to gamble, does he Gamble on an unprotected 2028 pick

If the Bruins are interested in Flames assets the 2026 Leafs first is more appealing. Treliving will be fired after this year and the Leafs might get a competent GM.
