Amen to that.

I love to see young players playing well
I love to see older players boosting their trade values
I love to see the team play well but lose because I want the best possible shot at McKenna

Almost blew that one. Glad they pulled it out with a perfect score.

Impressive game from Brz. Spectacular poise for a guy only playing his second.

Came for a Brzu preview of what he could be as an NHLer and I wasn't disappointed. He made exceptional reads and passes all night, and was totally fine in his own zone.

Hanley and Bean's days on this team are numbered.

It's really too bad Parekh couldn't start in the AHL after seeing Brz and Kusnetsov getting the call and immediately looking great. Some rules are so dumb

Think Parekh is going to have a tough time finding a spot until they trade Andersson

Great loss. Made it competitive and young guys were strong.

Kadri is almost a point per game. I know we won't trade him, but if we did the return could be pretty nice with how many suitors would be lining up for his services approaching the deadline.

What’s the saying nowadays? Don’t yuck someone else’s yum?

As long as people aren’t being out-and-out dicks about their positions, I agree. Let people enjoy watching and supporting the team in whatever makes them happiest.

Even those fans who are cheering for losses so that we can hopefully get the top end talent we need to really be off and running are still fans. The fact that they take time to watch the games and show up here to discuss the team before and after proves they care about the team.

Me personally, I know this team isn’t going anywhere in the short term and draft day is probably my favourite recurring sporting day of the year, so yeah, I kind of want the team to play well but still lose enough to finish near the bottom so we can hopefully get one of the top players this year. That’s what I’m taking enjoyment out of this season and next season, it very well may be different based on how the team looks.

We’re all fans here, let’s try not to yuck each others yums.

They didn't quit like some here would want the team to do. They fought to tie the game almost did it. Loved the effort in the 3rd period.

I think alot of the issue is it comes across sometimes like trolling. Like they know it irritates certain people so they have to bring it up and even go overboard at times.

We all want the team to make a Cup run and I doubt there's many if any on here who don't know the team needs to continue to rebuild and that getting a high draft pick would be beneficial. While they still might cheer for the team to win the game they know a loss isn't a bad thing and don't let it irritate them like it would have in years past.

I watch for the young players on the team. Which is consistent with wanting to tank for more exciting youth.

Do you want a ribbon for being a better Flames fan? Unfortunately, Dino already has the #1 fan trophy.
remember when you said you were going to quit watching the Flames after their last win lol

Frankly it's crazy how much resistance the last point gets, because the key point is we still want them to play well. It's not like we want to get caved in. These close results are most ideal because it means the team was in it, but at the end of the day the result also served in getting us closer to elite talent.

And then when you bring that talent in, hopefully next year or the year after it's 4-3 good guys instead of 4-3 bad guys.

It's a reasonable perspective to have.

It's not like we're pigs rolling in the #### of ineptitude. We want winning hockey here again, but something more sustainable. Scratching and clawing with the bubble teams to scrape into 8th with no first line players is just a sub optimal blueprint to work from.
