Solid game. Young guys like Brzu and Coronato playing well. Flames put in a solid effort, and make it a game after being down 4-0, and they don't get 2 points for the tank.

Take that any day this season.

If only they'd sucked just a little bit less in the first 40 minutes.

Butt clenching time after the 3rd goal. Glad they came out with the loss.

Keep it going against the Kings.

If Wolf starts, it's probably a W.

Fortunately, you have to play the backup sometimes

He absolutely destroyed that one guy in the corner.

Love it.

With league-average shooting vs league average goaltending, tonight's exact game replayed 1000 times results in Calgary winning it 605 times to Detroit's 395 times.

Across all situations tonight, Calgary scored 3 of their 3.53 expected goals. Detroit scored 4 in spite of only expecting to get 2.82. Getting rid of the decimals, it means we scored 3 when we should have had 4... and they got 4 when they should have had 3.

Good game in the end. I wish Klapka would hit more than fight and get a penalty.

Why do you even watch? Skip the rest of the season, give yourself a break and watch a team of losers like the Greasepigs for your fun.

I truly do not understand why you’d be watching if it’s so miserable when the team plays well…or wins.

Like WTF?

Detroit showcased the one thing we really need. Finishers. They have a surplus of those.

Which of the goals do you pin on Cooley? Certainly neither of the first two which were significant defensive lapses.

Fun game, good result. I liked Klapka. Did what he could to create energy. At one point he basically challenged the entire Redwing team.

Also happy with Hunter Brzustewicz. I think he was elevated to the 2nd pairing at one point.

Are you okay? Maybe need a walk?

I watch for the young players on the team. Which is consistent with wanting to tank for more exciting youth.

Do you want a ribbon for being a better Flames fan? Unfortunately, Dino already has the #1 fan trophy.

Brzustewicz impressed me, really smart plays, good stick and reads. I think there’s definitely something there.

Also, great coaching in the 3rd by Huska….
