Interesting. I wonder if the radar takes over? I have not looked into it but I think i heard there is a crazy amount of radars on those.
If that is the case, It would likely be better in fog and low visibility situations.
I still don't think I would like dressing in brown all the time and all that goostepping has to be hell on the knees and hips.

Radar is helpful in that situation but there is no radar equipped on Teslas (except in the cabin for some models). Why? I'm sure Brupal has an excuse.

No one even gets in a vehicle with them to see if their paper knowledge transfers to real world skill. This is a failure of governance, not a problem because they are immigrants. The only people to blame here are voters. But oh ya, you don't think that's fair.

This is an issue everywhere, this isn't some localized AB issue where the UCP government is allowing whomever to get classified as a pro driver where they aren't. It's not that Skip drivers in Manitoba or Toronto are vastly superior in maneuvering skills compared to Calgary. Everybody the same hot garbage because these are exceedingly low paying jobs for people when everything is factored in, often with a low barrier to entry. Heck you would be amazed at how often random people who are not actually Uber certified are actually driving Uber on the side. Who's actually paying attention to what the driver looks like? Like the driver, most people are neck deep on their screens. These big companies don't give a crap. Everybody puts up with this garbage service from everywhere.
It's the way the system is designed. Let's get low IQ, entry level workers who are "contractors" as drivers, effectively don't pay them properly, big business charges small business and users of said services (Amazon, Skip, Uber, Door Dash etc etc) effective rent for the rest of their lives on both buy side/sell side to enrich a few dozen people globally.
The system I described above is what the union and Canada Post workers are fighting against. When the union and workers bring up how Amazon deliver at night when it's cold and icy out as being dangerous , someone needs to be honest with them. Canadian's and the world rapidly does not care. We want packages and your broken ankle and concussion be dammed at 8 pm on a snowy Tuesday.
Full disclosure: I don't use Uber, Skip, food delivery apps, Amazon etc.
I explained a while ago when people complain about the parking of said services and their drivers that we, as a society are to blame. People want a single pasta sauce or 2 coffees or a tube of toothpaste delivered, when the driver is making $2 in -30, where would people expect them to park? In a proper parking spot waayyyyyy down the street? Ya right.

Yep. If they want to about driverless vehicles then I’m game though. I’ve got lots to say.

I like the part where the app tells them to only pull over just a foot and a half when stopping.

What happened to the lanes when coming off of EB Glenmore onto NB Deerfoot where the construction is happening, it’s nuts. As soon as you get onto Deerfoot the barriers and whatever lane markings are supposed to be there look like a drunk squirrel laid it all out.

Yeah when I think of great service I think of government unions, like the CRA.

Welp, I think I'm done with the place I'm working at. I'll let the contract run out and have no interest in working here ever again.
Some of the sloppiest code I have ever seen. Utterly stupid architecture decisions. No requirements on tasks. They can't even get accessibility right. Pure amateur hour.

Uber Drivers have been completely replaced on my #### list with Food Delivery Drivers.
I cannot wait for these companies to go under, but we are too lazy to let that happen

I can't imagine someone's laziness or excessive disposable income for anyone to use those services on a consistent basis
I get it if you're sick or in a pinch but my neighbour uses this service almost daily. Its a single mom that rents the house with two sons ages 20-25 that still live at home
None of my business but I'd be cooking dinners to save some cash.

I hate banks so much.
Opened a new account for use when I'm in Canada. Opened it online, still have to go in the the branch to verify my id. Annoying, but fine, did that the last time I was in Calgary. Three days after I do it, get an email saying I still need to verify my id. Fine, I go back in to the branch and do it again. Of course no record of my doing it the first time.
Account still locked, a deposit gets returned. Great. 3 days to get that sorted out. I'm back in Calgary this week, so go in. "Oh, it says here you need to come verify your ID" for ####s sakes, here's my driver's license, passport, healthcare card, I am clearly who I say I am open the damn account. Luckily this person was actually half competent and got that sorted. Okay, good.
Also opened a new credit card with the same bank. Should be simple right? Kinda, except it doesn't show up in my online banking. Bring that up while I'm in the branch as well, 'oh it got opened under a different profile, I'll submit a request to have them merged' alright, fair enough, that makes sense to me.
Today got an email that that request was finished, so I sign in. Nope, not fixed. Call in, sit on hold for an hour, get transfered around two times, "Oh it got opened under a different profile, I'll submit a request to have them merged." Yeah no ####. Okay sounds good, I'll continue to wait patiently. At least the card works in the meantime.
Oh also closing my old account at another bank. Did that in person last month as well. "Oh we can't do that in branch but I'll submit the request should only take a day or two." Here we are a month later, account still open, now with a negative balance because I had it at $0 to close it but fees have now come out. Whatever, #### you guys I did my part, don't come calling me saying I have an account with an overdue balance I closed that thing in November.
Maybe I'm just too nice and need to be more pushy for #### to get resolved but that's just not who I am.

I think you just ran against the general incompetence that seems to be taking over society as the new norm.

I had banks #### things up on me in the 90s. Sometimes I wonder if they're being robbed blind and they just don't notice.
