The Flames were always going to have the Reschny pick.
I wouldn’t have minded getting Jake O’Brien instead of Potter though, for example, if the Flames would have properly decided to lose when it actually benefitted them instead of this year when there’s no specific incentive. Though I am very very happy that the Flames had pick 32 last year.

Some Oilers fans on Twitter are saying their team will go on a 10 games winning streak and everything will be good.

I struggle to see a scenario where this upcoming 82 game winning streak is broken.
The 9-1 thrashing was the season turning point.

But it especially holds true in the media. The gaslighting, excuse-making and denial up there is mock worthy.
That CHED co-host is always arrogant about how good he thinks the team inherently is and belittles any caller who is remotely critical about the quality of the team, unless its scapegoating the goalie.
Flames followers are honest, openly critical and don't farm excuses like those losers.

Other teams with 4 regulation wins: Philadelphia (16GP), Buffalo (15GP), Seattle (16GP), San Jose (17GP), Vancouver, Nashville.
This team might be No Good like Reggie has mentioned.

It's perfect. Let them collect skills competition points. Keeps them out of the lottery but also validates the narrative that they're built on a lie this season.

Montreal only has 5 in 16gp and St. Louis has more than all the aforementioned teams with 6. There’s a few frauds this year

That's why it's tough to assess teams after just 20 games. A second 20 shakes most of these things out

On a similar note, CHI has the best save percentage in the league so far. Hot goaltending hides a LOT. But will it continue?

Every first quarter has its pretenders.
I'd look at teams trending in the right direction as indicators of where things are going.
Teams buoyed by a hot start but with an asterisk beside a lot of their wins probably taper off into the middle of the season.
