I didn't defend it. I pointed out that it wasn't the age of the victim that made it illegal, much as many people think it should.

I explained that very clearly. But people like you would rather be wrong and self-righteous than acknowledge that the law isn't what we want it to be. And pointing out facts, apparently, makes me a criminal.

I've also been called a paedophile for not actively accusing Donald Trump of paedophilia. I'm getting sick and tired of all this.

No, you are trying to gain sympathy after posting that it doesn't matter if we (not you, you never said you) find a 40 year old being sexually engaged with a 16 year, the law says it's ok in a bunch of States. Nobody was talking age of consent but you had to go there. So stop with this whole I am a victim here when you posted what you posted. I asked you in that thread to clarify and you instead went off tilt because people said what you posted was icky which it was. Like I said before, if I am discussing with someone that I find it wrong and you butt in and say it doesn't matter what I think, the law says it's fine what does that sound like to any rational person? If the Flames used a more East/West system I think Huberdeau returns to the norm for him which was an 80-100 point player. Other guys who I think are top 6 capable forwards under such a system are Kadri, Coronato, Frost, Zary, Sharangovich. Borderline top 6 or high end 3rd line players are Backlund, Coleman, Farabee, and Pospisil. Unknown ceiling is Klapka.

My point is people saying the roster is as bad as their offensive numbers indicate are wrong. They are on pace to score the least amount of goals in a modern NHL season. Can you honestly look at this group and say they are the worst forward group in modern history? I don't think they are even the worst forward group in the NHL this year let alone ever.

And that's fine.

But if I see 2 forwards that are actually top six players, and a bunch of maybes that could be some day maybe I'm not jumping through hoops in my avoidance of joining you in hating the head coach?

Rosters with 5 guys that are true upper rosters won't compete in the NHL on a nightly basis.

Last year was a miracle.

He was using to make a point.

Basically said he input the shooters and shot metrics from their last five games and had ChatGPT run the season to see how many goals the team would score. Then used that to urge the team to shoot the puck more and get traffic to the net to compete.

That's fair. We don't agree on how good it not good the players are and that's ok. I guess saying jumping through hoops in your case is definitely not warranted. Some posters do seem to defend this coach no matter what though. And maybe my takes on him are too harsh, that is also fair.

I find it funny that he used ChatGPT for that (which is the sort of thing it's not good at) rather than just using a basic spreadsheet... or, even better, asking the people on the Flames' staff who are actually paid to do that sort of analysis taking all sorts of underlying data into consideration.

That's what I heard as well. Essentially, ChatGPT projected something low like 2.36 goals per game, and Huska made the point that guys should fight for the scoring chances and not give up on them just because the outside noise says the Flames can't score.
