He's very good. but the numbers suggest the Jays should have done a little more damage against him based on the quality of the contact they had. Nothing crazy, but better than the 1 run over 9 they achieved.

The frustrating thing I found with his last start was when they made contact most of the time it was right at a player. It would be nice if they found more holes tonight.
And if you get him into trouble in the first inning again please don't let it go to waste this time.

I get the sentiment, but I'm sure there will be plenty of people trying to avoid spoilers and then watch with a bit of delay/skip commercials to catch up

Radi-whatnow?? Of what is this sorcery of which you speak?
Just stream it on your phone and keep one ear-bud in, when the kids go to ring the doorbell just haul out the phone and watch!

That's our best chance to win. We didn't have Bo in the starting 9 last time we faced him.
Bo has been solid, but I think tonight we get a signature moment from him.

That’s the best lineup IF George and Bo can play 9.

I was able to focus this morning, as I had to give a presentation at work to the whole NA sales team. As soon as that was done I was pretty much out of it. Might hit the gym here to work off nervous energy before I head out to watch the game.
I tell ya, gonna need a xanax this weekend I'm sure.

I like how almost the entire lineup rotates between L and R bats.
Hopefully Springer really is healthy enough to take some hard swings tonight.

That only really helps when facing the bullpen, and if the Jays get to the bullpen early enough for that to matter they're almost certainly going to win whether they alternate handedness or not.

There's a very real scenario where Springer hurts himself early in the game, Bo has to leave the game in the ~6th because he played 2B, and you're left with deja vu with France and IKF in your top 4 hitters to close out the game.
Game 7 is maybe different. But the full lineup minus Springer very much can win a WS tonight. If we're hobbled with some combination of France/IKF and have to score runs against Sasaki and the like...I don't like the look of that at all. We've seen that movie.
|
The problem with that plan is you either have to put Springer in for Bo, only give him 1 at bat, or make him play the OF if you don't start him at DH. Runs count the same at the beginning of the game, and its pretty unlikely this one goes 18 as well.

Last matchup it was 1-1 in the 7th. To not potentially have one or both of them at that stage of the game would really hurt.
I hope it doesn’t come to that and maybe Springer isn’t as compromised as he initially looked.

I can already picture this family hopping into their minivan and heading up to Edelweiss point in Edgemont and following the kids around the giant houses in the car while they collect full size chocolate bars before returning to their own neighbourhood where they weren't even giving out candy at their own house.

You are correct. The Blue Jays crew of Ben Shulman and Chris LeRoux are terrific. The ESPN radio crew is also good to listen to with Jon Sciambi, Jessica Mendoza, Eduardo Perez, and Buster Olney. The Dodgers have Charley Steiner and Tim Neverett on play-by-play with Rick Monday doing colour commentary.

Some Bell owned radio stations have been picking up the Sportsnet 590 feed for the entire series.
