Because the Dodgers have 4 ace starting pitchers. Imagine having a rotation so good that you start Ohtani 4th and the he only gets to start one game if it somehow goes 7 games.

As fans we will always remember the little things like this that taken together make the whole experience so special.
During the Flames 2004 cup run, after a thrilling OT win (I think it was against DET to take the series) I remember Rhett Warrener doing something like that - he was one of the last guys to jump over the boards and skated slowly to the mob on the ice as he admired his teammates in full-on celebration mode.

Their bullpen on the other hand. If the Jays can grind down the starters and chase them out early, I really like their chances.....

There was also a moment where Charles Kobasew went to leap into the pile, but it shifted just as he did, so he leapt into nothing.

This is great news.
Also, maybe it's a path that leads to an extension? I think Bo has played his last game at SS for the Blue Jays, they clearly value D too much. But if he's willing to move to 2B I could see them finding an agreement if he doesn't get the offers he's looking for in FA.

Love this decision. This allows Gausman to get full rest before his game 2 start on Saturday.

I'm hoping this goes to 7 games (with the Jays winning) only to delay the inevitable brutal winter sports watching that we'll get with the Flames this year.
I'm neither a basketball or football fan, so yeah its going to be a rough sports watching winter until opening day....

Will probably labour over this decision until I know whether there will even be a game 6.

I am debating the exact same thing. My deliberation is essentially pull the trigger now and get refunded if it doesn't go that far, or wait to get more clarity and the tickets will likely get even crazier. Or think better and don't go at all/go to a bar in Calgary.
Flights/accommodations is where it gets tricky, and I have young kids and that's another element, but boy oh boy paying a couple grand for a core memory feels like good ROI.

Going 14 position players and 12 pitchers would be my move.

Rodriguez and Lauer each went one inning, although Rodriguez appeared twice, Lauer only once. 3 ER for Rodriguez, none for Lauer.

Yeah, not literally at all, but after his garbage time outing it appeared that Yariel is essentially out of the mix right now. I think his 1 inning could be absorbed by the other 12.

I think I'd go 14 position players 12 pitchers (Bo in for either Little or Rodriguez, neither of whom are likely getting in anyway).
Then maybe you make 2nd base a committee if Bo isn't ready to field. Start Davis Schneider, he plays until his 1st at-bat (and maybe you put him 2nd so thats in the first). Then he comes out and Gimenez comes in for defense, takes the 2nd at-bat, and plays defense until the 3rd at-bat is up. Then Bo takes at-bat #3 and IKF comes in defensively. That gets you Gimenez and IKF for half the game each on defense, but half the ABs are by Schneider/Bo.

I remember that moment. He stood there at the end of the bench and literally threw his helmet at the other players on the bench as they were celebrating and jumping on the ice. Darryl Sutter looks over with a "what the **** was that" after seeing the helmet hitting everyone, sees Rhett just standing there and gives him a huge fist pump.

I could’ve sworn before playingSS, Bo was playing second base. Is this some crazy mandala effect or completely my imagination?

I believe he played 2B in the minors. I would imagine Bo would be fine at 2nd and I would much prefer him there than SS anyway

He played 30 games at second base prior to coming to the majors.
