There so many great moments from the other night
Our final out everyone mobs each other. But not Ernie
He just walks slowly towards the mob clearly overcome
Bo is coming out and sees this and rather go to the mob he goes to Ernie. Eventually everyone comes together
Just stuff like that. I love it

But what if this gigantic thread is the mojo that's driving them?

I had a pretty awesome moment in my favorite little mountain diner this morning. I walked in and a table full of gruff looking dudes got all excited when I walked in and started hootin' and hollering at me about the Blue Jays. (it took me a minute to realize my hat tipped them off) Where I'm at is like 80 percent Giants/20 percent A's fans.....and no team is more hated than the Dodgers. Lots of Jays support from Central/Northern California!

Love it. That stuff is what this is all about.
Being a sports fan is generally tough sledding. Essentially, you just lose- and you lose a lot. Every season ends with some kind of heartbreak. But the reason you continue is because you get #### like this once in a blue moon.
That feeling during/after the Springer shot - my god. You can’t replicate that anywhere else. That’s such an indescribable organic high, it’s the best of the best.
So watching the players get to experience that, and kind of experiencing it with them is so special.

I’m 100% sure I want him on the roster but I am totally split on what his role should be. I don’t mind starting the series with the same guys that got us here and keeping Bo as a looming bench threat.
If we get down in the series, maybe switch it up
|
Yeah I said in a post above he probably should be on the roster but as a pinch hitter. Maybe DH if he progresses health wise. In the field in a big pinch.
And I assume Loperfido gets dropped off.
I don’t think it’s wise to drop anyone in the infield who’s gotten the baptism by fire and been part of many of the 11 high pressure games so far this post season.

This series is so up in the air for me. I could see LA in 4 or Jays in 6. They NEED to take 1 of the first 2 at home.

Pitching is going to play a large role and my worry is that Dodgers have an advantage in that department. We can only hope that ours play at their best in the series. Regardless it's going to fun to watch.

Yeah. Im not so concerned about our batters facibg their pitching. But more our pitching not able to handle their batting then the relievers getting worn down. I know from the start there will be nerves to wear off but after the third inning i want to see smart decisions from everywhere.
It’s baseball though. Sudden streaks happen and we can go on a tear and kill them. Anything can happen.

Buck said Bichette is taking balls at second base. They showed a brief video on Jays Talk Plus.

I totally understand the rationale behind this approach, but I feel like getting him some ABs/into a rhythm is worth it. As much as I love Kirk, he's not the bat we need protecting Vladdy if we're going to beat LA IMO. If we're bringing Bo in as a PH, that's probably a huge spot in the game he'd be coming into as his first game action in months.

Might be getting my hopes up for no reason, but apparently my brother has a hook up to get tickets for free to one of the games in LA

Having an internal battle with myself over whether I should just pull the trigger and go to Toronto for a possible game 6 & 7.
On one hand, will I regret not being there if they win the world series? Yes.
On the other hand, flight/hotel prices are increasing, tickets are insanely priced.....ugh.
Will probably labour over this decision until I know whether there will even be a game 6.

As someone who went to game 5 of the ALCS as a Mariners fan, if you have a chance and can pull it off I would HIGHLY recommend going. It's an experience you'll never forget.....
Literally ZERO regrets going even with the eventual series outcome.

I haven't watched baseball in a while but why isn't Ohtani starting in game 1?

Disgustingly, he isn't their best pitcher.
Plus they are just rolling with the same order they've been using so far
