No, they're closer to the end compared to the beginning.

A 6-4 record in the next 10 can win the World Series.

Vladdy has video game numbers.

AVG of .455, OBP of .500 and an OPS of 1.470.

The most insane thing is that he has only struck out 1 time in the post season. On a 3-2 pitch from Cam Schlittler that was probably a ball.

I’ve never seen a guy so locked in. Maybe ever. We are talking historic numbers so far

They need to secure 4 wins. They've secured 2.

Game 7 Scherzer?

Hoping for a close game in this series.

Kinda shocked that Schneider didn't feel the need to turn Raleigh and Polanco around.

I don’t think Max needs anyone to pump him up at any time certainly in a critical game in an LCS, so I think he’s not sure why Schneider even came out.
I just watched his post game and he was laughing and joking about the whole situation.

Seems like you are trying to make something out of nothing implying Scherzer isn't impressed with Schneider.

I can’t believe how harsh everyone was on him. From his perspective and where he was standing it’s pretty hard to pick up the speed of the ball and how close it was to the pitcher. He certainly isn’t watching IKF to see if he’s waving his arms at him (that never happens).

He’s also a rookie. Sheesh. Cut him some slack. He’s playing in damn game 4 of the ALCS, had a huge night defensively, a double, and has already hit two homers this post season.

He belongs low in the order and he belongs in RF (not 3B). But that was not some unforgivable baserunning mistake it’s been made out to be. It’s fairly forgivable in my eyes.

Edit: sorry, he has 1 homer. I’m thinking of the clinch game against the Rays

Agreed. I was way more pissed at him staring at 3 strikes with the bases loaded in the third

That was as bad an AB as o can remember ! Good thing it didn’t ultimately matter

Not going to 3rd looks bad on replay but in real time you are taught to freeze on anything to the pitcher or left of you . Once you freeze you can’t restart or you are out

When you’re on a list that features someone as far back as 1930 named Turkey Stearnes (new fav baseball name btw) you know you are doing something historic.

Vladdy and Ernie. Wow

I can't say enough about how much of a treat it was to watch a HOFer absolutely dealing in a Jays jersey, possibly for his last start ever. Will remember that one.

Yeah, I frigging love the guy. And this Jays team has all of these sort of "no name" guys contributing and sometimes coming up big in big moments. Ernie, Lukes, Straw, etc. With Loperfido coming in now to replace Santander and how well he performed during the season, would love to see the kid get in on the action at some point too.

Jays are winning because 6-9 in the order are productive. The Mariners once you get past Naylor, there's not much.

I think it was 960 that played this quote from Vin Scully in "For Love of the Game" yesterday afternoon talking about Scherzer's start and it felt so true.

"He's pitching against the future, against age, and even when you think about his career, against ending. And tonight I think he might be able to use that aching old arm one more time to push the sun back up in the sky and give us one more day of summer".

Scherzer's start last night felt like something right out of movie, and he delivered.
